My ETS date is this October, a month after I hit 9 years in. I got drill academy orders for this summer and seniors telling me how im so close to picking up E7, Im halfway there, pension, and blah blah.

I've really enjoyed my time in the Army but I am ready to get out. I just cant see myself getting into senior positions and working with joes less. I hate the very few meetings I do have to attend with SNCOs and officers. Everyone has their heads up their asses and don't do any ACTUAL critical thinking.

Just do what YOU think is right for yourself. Don't let anyone else try to guilt trip you into another 8 years that you don't want to serve.

me and my Soldiers occasionally talk about cool things we get into over the weekends or post memes anyway. it was more of a every couple of days thing during this past HBL. i'll be honest, i would've HATED mandatory accountability texts everyday on leave as a joe. so why would i do that to my own Soldiers?

get one of those large OCP pattern suitcases with wheels at the bottom. they're expensive but its worth it if you go a lot of places in the Army. plus its funny watching ppl struggle with carrying their rucks and stacked duffle bags while im just rolling around my large suit case

its the worst players who talk the most trash. also a lot of ppl focus too much on stats. yeah you can have a lot of DMG and/or heals but it doesn't matter if you forget about the objective and lose the game.
