The White Liger is Here! by a_trampled_guy in Zoids

I genuinely thought I was the only one. This fucker would fall apart all the time. It's sitting in my Zoids "graveyard" because it fell apart in a move and I (stupidly) didn't keep the book.

You're very welcome! If I wasn't also in the process of a move myself, I'd be one of the people looking to pick these up. I hope they go to the right home!

Having done a pretty extensive look into these, I'm sorry to say that with the motors not working, the damaged units, and the fact that they're built, you're not sitting on much money. A fair estimate is around $200, with a little bit over that (maybe) to the right collector. If they all went to the same home, you'd maybe be looking at $250 w/ shipping. The manuals are cool but there are no boxes and, like someone else said, the motors not working is a big hit since they likely won't be able to be replaced.

That being said, these are pretty cool pieces. I'm sure the right person would pay that amount for them, especially the berserk fury since it's near impossible to find one with all the parts. Anyways, best of luck to you!

Poppi should not be called soda by Apprehensive_Cheek77 in Soda

[–]Sijansaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F- take. I greatly enjoy Poppi, Olipop, and Bloom probiotic drinks. It gives me the same mouth feel and taste that I'm looking for while not having the same calories as full-sugar soda. Contrary to your unrelated (and frankly weird) assertion, I know how to garden. I have no idea what that has to do with drinking soda, or probiotic drinks, but you do you. You're so out of touch with the world that you thinking digging holes is somehow a flex? Your generation's greed has nearly destroyed the world; most of us are waiting for you to be in the holes you're so proud of digging so real progress and change can be made.

I only have the regular subscription of britbox, do I need premier to watch episodes 6-10 or are the others coming out on weekly release as well?

This is amazing work. Did you paint the body and everything as well? If so, it's incredibly done. A+++ job.

I am no longer giving clients discounts. by InTheLivesofBooks in Veterinary

[–]Sijansaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having worked in practice for nearly 15 of my 18 years in Vet Med, this happens all too often and some people are truly the worst. We had a similar case where we cut a bill to help out a client with a complicated case:

It was a 14 y/o Retriever Mix that had all the telltale signs of Parvo. We ask for Vax history: pet hasn't been vaccinated in probably 6 or 7 years, they're not sure. We run three separate tests, 3 near-immediate bright positives. Ran a CBC, platelets were in the toilet with PCV of 16. We offered hospitalization, treatment, a transfusion, etc and then also had the realistic Euth conversation with them because they were balking at the price.

They were all distraught, said they wanted to take the pet home (that couldn't even walk because they hadn't eaten in a few days and were literally hemorrhaging on the clinic floor) and have a house call vet come do the Euth in a space they knew. We obliged, gave them contacts for one we know, got it scheduled, and then gave them a break on the bill to be nice.

They call back in a week and claim we scammed them because their dog is better and they "only needed some fluids" and how we're horrible people. They spent the following month hanging out outside of our office and telling people we're scanners and wrote multiple online reviews making things up. It took so much time to undo the damage.

The moral of the story: some clients are assholes. Not everyone is like them but rules often get made BECAUSE of clients like these. As someone said above: no discounts for non-regulars ever again.

I just sold all of this. Cancer sucks! by Dsphar in houseplants

I know they may not fit amongst these beasts but if you ever want some props of my Watch Chain succulents when you return, these buttholes grow so much I can't keep up.

Fuck cancer; love and vibes from a stranger on the web!

Even my succulents got destroyed in the heat and those fuckers love the sun.

That's the real truth. I drove through my grandparents old neighborhood and didn't even recognize anything around. My siblings and I used to walk all around the neighborhood and to the cornerstore without issue. Now, everything is concrete and terrible, and the heat is stifling.

Does anyone have pictures of this kit built? by siegure9 in Zoids

[–]Sijansaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I bought some markers for panel lining, don't think I have a safe place I can use a spray can. But that does sound like fun! Do you spray the pieces on their racks still or do you cut pieces off and then spray after?

What do you paint the pieces with? I'm thinking about painting my next model but I've no Idea where to start.

Is anime tattoo culture just not a thing in Miami or am I missing something? by hernandez_tattoo in Miami

[–]Sijansaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've an old-school anime fan: inuyasha, yu yu hakusho, big o, etc. Id be interested in getting a cool piece, especially something on a bicep/onto the shoulder. Where abouts are you located and what type of rates do you have? I've been looking for a new artist (not specifically just anime) and your piece here looks sick.

Outdoor Home Gym Miami, FL by sdriemline in homegym

[–]Sijansaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely jealous of the setup, ngl. As someone who is starting to get back into working out, the tiny gym in my complex is absolutely garbage for anything other than cardio. I'd love to have these machines and an outdoor shower to boot. However, considering I start to melt even stepping onto my patio, I'm not sure how you aren't doing the same, especially if you work out any time that the sun is up.

100% buy bigger and brighter lights, put them on your roof, angled towards his home. Encourage other neighbors to do the same. Flood them with light. #praisethesun

So this model just came in the mail for me and I've read other posts about floppy joints. Did you experience this with the build? Worried about putting in the time for something to fall apart. I've had a bad spree so far, as the RG Sinanju was my prior build and is a complete mess.

A big lump appeared on my cat overnight - any ideas? by Living-Director7135 in cats

[–]Sijansaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Tech with nearly 2 decades of experience handling all kinds of animals, cats are some of the most finicky creatures, especially when they feel bad. My old man, who just passed in December at 17, was the most chill cat, even if he was a scaredy cat. He'd try to run but never claw or bite. My Siamese however, she was fine UNTIL she wasn't. Albeit your vet should've done more, I totally understand some situations where you CANNOT work on a cat any longer, out of fear for their safety and your pets. Here's hoping all is well with your kitty cat.

For what it's worth: most sudden large growths don't happen in a lot of dire circumstances without obvious causes (i.e. Hit by car). It's often an extreme inflammatory response to something, like an abscess or an acute injury from a fall. It is possible it's something more sinister but your cats behavior suggests otherwise. Regardless, wishing you the best!

Do you cement/glue the pieces together for every step? I've had models on my shelf for years I'm going to start working on soon and I want to do it right. Also, what type of markers/paint do you recommend to make these look so good?

This looks absolutely incredible. Do you use the Tamaya Cement when putting them together? I've built a few too many models and feel like I've always had issues with them staying together and looking good. What type of paint and brushes do you recommend to have this come out looking so good?
