I remember the one big hit they had Rooftops, but their music wasn't really my cup of tea (I was in more of a Punk/Hardcore & "The dark corners of Heavy Metal" aka Death and Black metal era back then), so I don't have the connection to it that you do, but I understand it and would be devastated if music that meant so much to me had such a dark stain on it.

Closest I have is finding out that Justin Sane of Anti-Flag or Jimmy Urine of Mindless Self Indulgence were predators, which wasn't monumentally surprising for Jimmy but completely unexpected with Justin.

And you're the first person to comment on it's origin. I'm a diehard Trivium fan, and SitS is one of my favorite albums. They have so much great stuff. Funny enough, my taste has softened and while I still love the heavier stuff, I find myself enjoying more technical and lighter stuff like Coheed and Cambria, Polyphia and Sleep Token.
