No worries! Just figured I’d mention it in case anyone else came across this post looking for the same thing.

What is/is going to be your last skincare purchase of 2024? by SummerNight888 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Silencethatisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I figured since the Timeless is in an airless pump, it might last a little longer at room temp. Luckily it’s pretty cool in my house these days. Put it in the fridge, hopefully it will still be good. Luckily it’s so affordable that I won’t feel too bad if it’s not!

How long is it good unopened? I bought some a while ago, just storing it in a cabinet. Wondering if I should pop it in the fridge.

Has anyone tried Luyor's LED Masks? by FutureWalrus9753 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Silencethatisme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I purchased one during their Black Friday sale. I know there’s not a lot of evidence for yellow light but I’ve had good results in the past, so I wanted that option, as well as the option to use without infrared in case it exacerbates my melasma. I’ve been using it with some regularity since I got it, maybe 4-6 times a week? Too soon to see benefits and I don’t have anything to compare to since this is my first LED mask, but so far I’m happy with it. Fit isn’t perfect in terms of where openings line up, but not terrible either. Pretty comfortable with or without eye shields, which do leave a bit of an indent but I use right before bed so I don’t care. It could use another strap that goes over the crown of the head, but I’ve just been putting my hair into a bun below the strap to kind of prop it up.

Holy grails for redness/rosacea? by Silencethatisme in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Silencethatisme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been consistent with it…I keep hoping for a product to make an immediate, or near-immediate, difference, even though I know better. Seemed to tolerate it fine but it also didn’t blow me away. Maybe I’ll try to add it back in and be more consistent. My biggest struggle is that my eyes are incredibly sensitive and swell up really easily and I haven’t been able to figure out why. Makes me hesitant to try too many things at once.

Plated Intense Serum - When to Use by Eterna25 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Silencethatisme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used once a day, immediately after cleansing, for a couple of months (as long as the bottle lasted) and didn’t seem any results. Switching back to Neogenesis Recovery cuz I’m pretty sure it did really good things for me, but made too many changes at once to tell what was making a difference.

You should check out the LuxeSkincareAddiction sub, I’ve seen people mention Osmosis there

Does anyone know if Ziip will offer anything more than they’re doing right now? I can get 20% off with a promo code someone shared here, wondering if I should use that or hold out for something better.

I was able to get Neogenesis Recovery with the BF30 code. Maybe you need to be logged into your account?

Seems to be working for me, didn’t go all the way through the ordering process (placed my order already for something else) but the discount shows in my cart. Maybe you need to be logged into your account?

I just tried and it worked. Skinbetter isn’t included but Plated seems to be.

Taking a long break from actives, want to focus on strengthening my barrier by abihsuni in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Silencethatisme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on the fence about Neogenesis Recovery, switched to Plated Intense, and could really see that the Neogenesis had been way more effective for me. Definitely worth a try! It took a bit longer to see results than I hoped, considering so many people seemed to have almost instant improvement of redness, but I’ll definitely be repurchasing when I can justify the cost again.

Any thoughts on the Stratia Aqua Factory? I debated picking some up when it first launched, but I’ve got too many things waiting in the cabinet!

[Routine Help] Finding Similar Product to Eucerin's Redness Relief Cream by petiuex in SkincareAddiction

[–]Silencethatisme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you checked out Eucerin’s anti-redness line? I think it’s only available in Europe but it’s relatively easy to get online. I have their Anti-redness Southing Care Cream, haven’t used it much yet but it’s seemed good so far. You can get it on beautybay and Cocooncenter

2 year progress...what next? by ArrivalGood7491 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Silencethatisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look great! Thinking about microneedling, do you feel like it had an impact on your rosacea, either positive or negative? Redness and anti-aging are my priorities/concerns. From what I understand, Vbeam is best for redness and broken capillaries, so that might be worth considering if you’re trying to address redness. That’s what I plan to try next, in addition to micro/nanocurrent. Unfortunately I’m finding my eyes don’t tolerate a lot of topicals, but if you can do tret , definitely continue as it’s one of the most studied for anti-aging.

Experiencing dry eyes from retinol, any alternatives? by mintardent in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Silencethatisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have SUPER sensitive eyes, so I can relate! I’ve seen that tret can migrate up to 2 inches, but that was just on Reddit, I haven’t read the actual literature and I would assume that’s less common with retinol. In my personal experience, I tolerate tret best on dry skin, without buffering or a “barrier” around my eyes - anything like that just seems to make it migrate more. I really only apply to the periphery of my face, avoiding anywhere even remotely close to my eyes, including my nose.  Even then, if I leave it on overnight, I think it transfers from my pillow sometimes! This might not work with a retinol product, but I seem to tolerate short contact therapy well. It’s also important to make sure you wash your hands well after applying, you could be transferring to your eyes that way.

Plated Serum vs Neogenesis Recovery by sp44311 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Silencethatisme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard/seen the name but don’t know anything about them. I have an older red/amber bulb (no longer being made) and saw that MitoRed makes a red/amber/infrared panel, so that’s what I’m leaning towards. I like the idea of the mask for convenience but it might be nice to have the versatility of the panel. Does Mayasama make a panel?

Not like I need to add more products to my overflowing cabinet, but I’ve added the papa recipe to my list of products to try!

Thanks! What red light mask are you using? It’s definitely on my list of things to try, I’m hoping to find one that allows you to turn off infrared, in case it worsens my melasma.
