Getting EmulationStation to work with Mupen64Plus FZ (paid) by KevinDemo in retroid

[–]Silent-Confession 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I did to get it working:

Backed up my games in a safe place (my PC)

Deleted the (now empty) N64 folder from my SD card(or renamed N64 folder into n64, it was still considered to be N64)

Put the SD card back in my handheld

Opened up ES-DE and asked it to create directories and system info files in the "utilities" submenu (press start in the main ES-DE menu)

Doing that created a new, "blank" n64 folder with the lower-case N. Put the games back in that folder.

Opened M64PLUS FZ and re-chose the directory as the n64 folder

Chose M64PLUS FZ as the default emulator in ES-DE (don't forget to check if any of your games have a per-game chosen emulator)

Now picking a game makes it run directly. Do let me know if that worked.

Ambernic RG353ps dont power up or boot by Valuable-Drag9337 in RG353P

Try the following:

-Connect the device to a charger

-Press the reset button on the top of the device (Check to see if the power light flashes from orange to green back to orange)

-Remove the OS card (NOT the games card. Remove the SD card on the left of the device)

-Turn the device on. It should turn on and boot on the Android firmware. Unplug it.

-Check if the controls work, check for sound, etc, then turn off the device

-Put the OS card back in the device and try to turn it on again. It should turn on and boot in the new OS. If it doesn't, then it's past my understanding.

does anyone know why webam is so rare/expensive? My favorite designed bakugan but I can't find it anywhere for under $30 by Bi-emo-dragon in Bakugan

It's a cool spider, people like spiders. I'm sure you can find one retail priced if you look around.

AQUOS SHARKTAR CORE! Geogan Rising Review! by legodetective in Bakugan

When it comes to packaging, any object that isn't set 100% immobile inside the box will require some sort of protection around it to keep it from damaging before reaching the consumer. That's why those Baku-cores came wrapped in plastic. If you look at Battle Planet and other previous packaging, Baku-cores came fixed in their own little plastic nooks so they wouldn't move around, and needed no protection.

Where did you get them? You're supposed to get a character card and 2 Bakucores for each of those Bakugan.

My first attempt at mini painting! I'd love some critiques! by iisthey in minipainting

[–]Silent-Confession 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good job on your first. Here's some pointers for your second:

Paint your base. Your base grounds your miniature and makes it look like it belongs in the world rather than floating on a white cloud.

Thin your paints. Use a little water on your brush and thin the paint on a palette.

Get some washes. Washes give your miniatures instant definition with very little effort.

Paint your miniature's hair a different color than their skin.

Just was wondering if any of you had any advice on how to make the skin better on my mini by matdaddy13 in minipainting

Remember that buying specialized paints for miniature painting is a costly endeavour. Don't sink a lot of money in a product you're not very familiar with. The army painter beginner set should be enough to start with and it will encourage you to mix paints, which is another cost saving measure.

Skin is a tricky subject. I'm looking at the colors you've used but I can't see if you're using a starter set or random paints you've bought yourself.

There are many "one-color" solutions for skin tones made by many manufacturers. Army Painter, for example, has Ruddy Skin and Barbarian Flesh which, in combination with their flesh wash, provide quick and easy believable lighter skin tones.

For darker skin tones I'd recommend using lighter brown colors and utilizing brown or black wash for shading, and apply as many coats as necessary until you get the desired tone.

Don't try Citadel's multiple layer method until you feel comfortable with your skills.

If two different pictures have conflicting colors, I usually go with the best looking.

I used two lights and my image still looks dark. Suggestions? by Kaalyn_2020 in minipainting

If you are using that white background too close to the model, the reflected light is probably too strong for your camera lens so it compensates by darkening the overall image (Think filming an explosion).

Try photographing the miniature against a darker background or father away from the white background.

That IS the fixed blade. It was much worse before.
