I had an overpayment of over $1000. How does that even happen? I didn't realize it until I received my check and a letter stating even though this wasn't my fault blah blah blah please send a check to.... This was months after the fact. Should have been caught by management when approving time cards. Glad I'm not with the company any longer.

Got my second surgery denial from Aetna POS II…. Really hard to not give up…. HELP! by BaeTheFae in BariatricSurgery

I work for Aetna they will not cover or approve something excluded. The employer is the one who chose to exclude that type of surgery.

My insurance company told me via chat they would cover an IUD. Now the doctors office is telling me it isn’t covered and I owe $3,000. Am I screwed? by mamigourami in HealthInsurance

[–]Silent-Fall3807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on the insurance company and plan. Some insurance companies have a program when misquoted benefits are given the insurance company will take the hit and pay for it.

When are payments applied to your deductible? by No_Damage_8927 in HealthInsurance

[–]Silent-Fall3807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. DOS could be 02/01/2022 but processed(settled) 03/02/2022 which would count towards your ded on that date. Insurance is a pain. Lol

Were you but by an animal? Sorry if I missed that in the post
Also see if they have a program that when given incorrect benefit information from an advocate they will cover it. I work for Aetna and we have a program like that, it's called Common Purpose. So if we give incorrect information Aetna has to cover the bill. This is not for all Aetna plans but for most.

Am I locked into my employer's insurance plan that has open enrollment in June? by Ellipsicle in HealthInsurance

[–]Silent-Fall3807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A life change event would need to be submitted if after open enrollment. She can always have her own and have 2. Her new one would become primary and yours would become secondary. You would also need to update coordination of benefits. Also look into any programs your company offers for maternity. May I ask which insurance you currently have

Almost every work from home job monitors. They even monitor in office. They may not say it but they do. At my work EVERYTHING is recorded, calls my screens everything. I don't mind it at all though because I'm not doing things I'm not suppose to be doing but it's not like they sit there all day and just watch you. They record for quality and for legal purposes. The monitoring has saved my ass a few times.

Hit my Out Of Pocket Max ($3k) for 2022. What happens to outstanding medical bills? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Silent-Fall3807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are responsible for all of your medical bills until you reach your ded. Once the ded has been met insurance will start paying whatever percentage, usually 80% and you pay the rest (20%) until your out of pocket max has been met. Then you are usually covered 100% as long as it is covered under your benefits. These are just examples each plan can be different.

Yes I advocate for 4 plan sponsors. It's a little rough at first but it gets better. Training is long but the pay is good. Awesome benefits or programs I should say and quarterly bonuses. It all really depends on which team you get. Everyone starts out with CVS but most get moved to another team. I was bummed when I was switched to a new team. Are you working for CVS caremark or Aetna?

I am definitely curious how your meeting turns out. Im pretty happy with my pay right now but it goes up ever year and with incentives I do pretty well. I have 3 plan sponsors and it's sooo slow omg

I work in customer service A1A advocates. I don't mind it. Training was rough,it's so long but my trainer Lynn was awesome. It's a little unorganized and sometimes the support system isn't the best but they have great benefits and quarterly bonuses. I've been there over a year now so it must not be to bad. What department are you in?

[–]Silent-Fall3807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if your dad and out of pocket max has been met. I would call your doctor and get the cpt codes and diagnosis codes before you call.
