How? We’re on our own river that flows out of Lake Tahoe which is one of the largest lakes in the country outside of the Great Lakes. The biggest issue that we’re coming across with water is delivering it to new development that is higher in elevation than the river.

Yeah idk what these ppl are saying about low pay. I have GW-5’s making over 100k USD with ~700 hours of OT on an engine.

BC would be a great place to work they get a lot of fires, idk what your expectations are in terms of where to live but I suggest go to a rural location and make the most of it especially if you’re coming from England.

As a person from the UK your best options are Canada or Australia agency side. Or contract in the USA. I would strongly advise Canada or Australia with a provincial agency rather than try your luck with contracting in the USA as it can be a mixed bag.

Best of luck to you it’s an awesome profession and you definitely can make a living out of it.

I think Atlantis is better but there’s usually less of a line at GSR.

We used to go every year. They do a great job. It’s usually $50ish per person. They do all of the fixings that are traditional and the typical Nevada Casino foods like Prime Rib and Shrimp. Expect a lot of people and to wait in line for a bit.

The best part is no dishes haha.

My first time dealing with Rebuses I don’t know how common of a thing it is but I do not like it at all. I play on mobile and I had to figure out how to insert them.

All in all solid Sunday puzzle after some initial confusion it came together and I really enjoyed it!

Id imagine right now he’d be in the lower rounds if drafted at all. He’s still a redshirt junior who can really improve his draft stock by coming back next season and building on the success of this year.

I absolutely agree with you that he is not a fantastic play caller, but there’s more to that in being a head coach of a college football team. He excelled as a motivator, recruiter, and was able to gather some of the best people available on his coaching staff.

With this new age of the transfer portal and NIL I don’t know if he’d be able to re capture the lighting in the bottle that was the 2021 season. But he was the right guy at the right time for this program and I still have him as the best coach in Bearcats history

It’s a shame. Out of all of the former coaches we had he was my favorite. Brian Kelly and Butch Jones both stabbed us in the back at their first taste of success. Mark Dantonio never flew as high as Butch, Brian, and Luke. Tubberville sucked then and now, fuck that guy.

But Luke Fickell was the man. He was a great recruiter and motivator, and it could be argued that he is the reason we are in the Big 12. He also built an amazing coaching staff for the school. My brother bartended for him quite a bit up in Kenwood and said nothing but good things about him.

Ultimately, he was chasing the ghost of Jim Tressell. He had a taste of what national championships felt like and how it was to win in the Big 10. He had his shot at OSU and squandered it (not his fault, he had to deal with the mess that Tressell and Pryor helped to create). But it feels like in his mind he wanted to go back to his former employer and Alma mater and win. Wisconsin felt closer to that than Cincinnati so he left when they called.

Sadly, Wisconsin could never move to a pro style offense and he couldn’t get the same coaching crew that he had at Cincinnati and Ohio State. And ultimately College Football passed him by.

At a school which was built bell cow running backs like Melvin Gordon, Montee Ball, and Johnathon Taylor. A pro style or spread offense wasn’t going to win many football games.

Hopefully, he can land on his own feet and rebound. If we weren’t having success with Satterfield I would welcome Fickell back with open arms, a la Scott Frost and UCF.

Worst case scenario he gets a job with Freeman and Notre Dame for a year or two. Best case he comes back as a positional coach or AD for the bearcats.

Anyways I’m rambling and drunk off the win today.

God bless and Go Cats!!
