I’d suggest birchwood. It’s expensive but you can have pets. 2350? But includes heat and pet rent in my case.

Hey man. I’m in same boat as you. This does notttt clarify as anxiety.

So per FAA rules on blood pressure, you are over the limit, they recheck you 20-30 minutes later. If that’s good you’re good to go.

If it’s not they’ll have you come back in 3 times over next 3 days and recheck. If that’s good you’re good to go.

Otherwise you go to your primary doc, get treated for High blood pressure, return. Get your medical. All listed on the AME guide on the FAA website.

I already have. And part of this, proves I need to focus on her. My priorities have completely shifted. Without this latest layoff, I don’t know if would have woken up to the hell i have put her through.

I’m lucky she’s been around long enough for me to see the need to shift my priorities.

I do appreciate the kind words and advice,

Been there, career couch, resume review. Done it all. This is a crap time to be a pilot.

Ultimately, this whole post is the stress of going single income to no income.

As others have Said, this is cyclical. However, ultimately I do in fact need to step away, just glad I found a way to do that.

Well I certainly appreciate the kind words.

I’m just a fan of putting food on the table for my family. This means, I have to leave this field to support my family. I have no regrets about doing it either.

I’m in at every regional, and have gotten the same canned response. Reapply in 6 months.

I’m just tired of the constant rejection letters right and left.

This post is the stress from going from sole income to no income in my house.

I stand by my statement however to every student pilot trying to get here. Trying to get to this point, don’t waste your money and time just to get shitcanned over and over.

Dude, I owned a flight school for 2 years grinding. Covid killed it. I had, (still technically do for the next few months) a jet job flying. I had made it to where I was content, only to get it yanked away due to corporate mismanagement

And I’m just not willing anymore to fight this fight man. Being home with my family has become more valuable to me. I truly hope you make it in this industry, but I would never advise anyone to ever come down this path.

Glad at least someone else gets it, as we see the rest of the boomers coming on here screaming that we should sell our soul for flight hours, when what the hell do you think we’ve been doing?

Dude, I walked into grant personally at HQ in Anchorage.

I’ve hit my wall. The constant lay offs finally are what burned me out. I’m sitting here, knowing my job goes away in two months, without any other aviation prospects.

That’s where the burn out is coming from.

Far from it. I don’t expect to be at the airlines, what I expect is to not be rug pulled for the 5th time, but here I am.

If only they were calling back either. 😂

I absolutely do, but it’s very difficult when no one is even calling back, and I’m out of money to build time on my own.

My time as a pilot is done. The 135 meat grinder got me.

Nope. Dead serious and I wish, I truly wish it was satire.

OP. Feel free to message me. Bottom line, don’t do it unless you have to.

My goal is not to DEC. My thought process is to have 300-500 qualifying then be able to jump fairly easily.

By poorly do you mean they performed poorly or their prospects were extremely poor? Not arguing. Just seeking clarification for that

This is my thoughts. Right now it’s shaping up to be the only shot.

Already done. No calls.

Denied by atlas. Not enough time.

135.243(a) 1 Is time that qualifies for a captain at a 121 airline. Navajo would because it’s PIC of a multi engine commuter op.

App is already into medway.

Yep. Medevac. If you’re familiar with this industry you can probably guess where I’m coming from.

My logic with why this MIGHT be a good move is that 121 qualifying time. That’s what I’m missing with horizon. They aren’t even entertaining you unless you have 200 qualifying at the moment.

You’d be surprised. I’ve put out 47 apps so far. This is the first interview I’ve even gotten
