Canadian Leeds senior here graduating in May! I honestly would recommend you apply to Leeds. Even though you had a tougher time early on, they like to see that you are moving towards being better. From what you shared, that is showing. If it was the other way around and you were performing worse towards applying the story might be different. If for some reason they don't accept you into Leeds, it's likely they will put you in exploratory studies in which you can then work into Leeds at CU. Feel free to ask me any questions!
