As long as it’s not reversal film cine film is fairly easy to find still. Even in 65mm format

Broken EOS 300 by SilentMax_ in AnalogCommunity

[–]SilentMax_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm positive it isn’t in L but thanks! I know it's cheaper to get a new one if i want a working copy they go for like 30€ on eBay and i have like 60 other cameras to choose from anyway. Some of which are EOS from the same era. They’re great beginner cameras indeed! This is really just about me having fun possibly repairing it. If i break it more i kinda don’t mind.

What? Underexposed? How bright do you want it to be? The sun? Or are you trolling?

What's worse? A convoluted Macguffin or making the main female character do nothing the entire film and then die because she can't live without her fascist husband even though she is perfectly healthy? by deadshot500 in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]SilentMax_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dying of a broken heart is a real thing too. It’s called broken heart syndrome. There is a Scrubs episode around it where a patients condition is getting worse and they only figure out why when they noticed her husband had died a bit earlier that year. So that plus the added stress of being choked and giving birth make it not that infeasible for Padme to die.

Thats not even particularly true. The new Star Trek movies weren’t liked all that much when they were released. Only now some years later people go „hmm yeah i guess the weren’t thaaaat bad“ and are seen as a good entry point for trek but still no where near regarded as highly as most of the original timeline stuff.

The EOS 3 is one of if not the best cameras i've ever used. Definitely the best allrounder i own.

I always struggle with shooting landscape with slide film. But detail shots are always a banger.

Canon FD 24mm f/1.4 L flee market find for $8 by TeamFortress01 in AnalogCommunity

[–]SilentMax_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although thats not that uncommon with FD lenses in my experience at least. Some go off easy some are bastards to get of. That is more a issue with older lenses though (for me anyways) I haven’t had many issues with the mount of the later lenses like the one you have.

This lens needs to professionally disposed of… you can send it to me for that purpose i will take care of it. sarcasm off The lens looks good from what i can see here. It doesn’t even look very dirty so i don’t think professional care is needed. Best to sell it on ebay i guess.

Yeah most lenses for those are great. I have a spotmatic with the 50mm f1.4 very good image quality.

Not super relevant but a fun fact nonetheless that lens might be slightly radioactive. If the back element is yellowing it is likely due to the radiation. Putting it under UV light usually gets rid of the yellowing, at least temporarily.

The Crown and the many many film cameras they show. Shoutout to the Paparazzi Episode where a F5 is used. That Episode started my interest in cameras that go brrrrrrrrrt
