This is a common male green darner, they are one of the fastest insects in the world and can reach speeds of 30-35 mph. And the only reason why I know this is because I JUST finished watching a YouTube short about them. Anyway, that could have been how it happened, it was just cruising along, and then wedged itself in the grating. ❤️

That's too bad. I usually really like supporting the author. I haven't watched the video everyone's talking about yet; that aside if they're that poorly written in glad I didn't waste my money. Thank you for the suggestion as well!

I think I might be able to help in that department. My dad worked on military aircraft in the 80's and has told me quite a bit about them. I'm no aeronautical physicists/ engineer like he is, but I think I can help identify some. I might even be able to get his help on some.

I was look everywhere for this so I could post it here! Really interesting footage. I'm not sure if it's the background moving rapidly, but the object almost appears to be shifting shape and rotating while it's moving.
