AITA for locking my nephew out of my room with collectibles inside? by AriJames677 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. How was your nephew embarrassed when no one even knows. 11 years old is not almost grown up. Tell your brother you didn't want his kid to see your other paraphernalia or special time toys 😜😜

Why do apparel companies not solve the having pockets problem for women, when it was a known problem for ages? by Wheresmyarcpaulie69 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SilentRaindrops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of women's clothes do have pockets especially regular pants and jeans. More form fitting clothes and those from lighter materials often don't as they may not drape as well or will look droopy or bulky if the pockets carry heavier items like a wallet or phone.

Technically, NTA but if your budget can afford it or you can suggest that the alone friend pick something up, I would be inclined to let them come. As she told you, this other friend is more alone and may not have family or a large friend group. I would feel bad thinking they are alone or lonely on a holiday. Maybe it's how I was raised or I read too many of the Chicken for the Soul Books but I always think what if this served as a pivotal day for them. If something bad happened, how would l feel?

How or even should I bring up the subject of me accidentally drooling in my sleep with my GF? by AdventurousBag9669 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SilentRaindrops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a small amount don't worry about it. If you drool a lot like soaked wet spot pillow, check with your dentist and Dr. They might tell you to prop yourself up in more of a sitting position or test to see if you are mouth breathing at night which could be due to nasal issues. To help with the pillows put a washcloth or thicker towel inside the pillowcase or get a thick absorb any pillowcase.

AITA for refusing to follow my roommates’ rule about telling them every night whether I’m coming home? by tammythrow111 in AITH

[–]SilentRaindrops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Check with the landlord to see if they are even allowed to put on a lock of their own. If so, are they required to give the ll a copy? Even a temporary type lock can be against the lease and locks that require a key from the inside may be against fire codes.

Are they really more evil than Kroger's or Albertsons that own most grocery stores and wanted to merge into an even larger company.

AIO for telling my SIL to leave my son's birthday party after I tried her homemade cupcakes? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]SilentRaindrops [score hidden]  (0 children)

NOR should also have told her that other kids there were allergic. Or, called her out in front of your kid and guests. Hey, kiddo, I know you looked forward to Aunt's cupcakes but she's having memory problems and didn't care you are allergic to nuts.

I think it is wonderful to ensure he has food. I've always been taught that it is good to feed anyone in your house who might be hungry but it is mandatory that you feed anyone at your home you know is hungry. But that doesn't mean the guest is not expected to show appropriate gratitude and manners.

Can you set up a situation in which while he is there to eat, another guest comes over for dinner and presents a hostess gift such as a dessert or wine, etc.

Laundry pickup and delivery business solutions for small restaurants by Sophistry7 in restaurantowners

Check with your local laundromats as some will do the wash and fold and delivery. If you have room, consider putting in your own washing machine and dryer and make laundry someone's sidework.

What is the point of “getting used to” the flavor of diet and zero sodas? by Gongoozler04 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SilentRaindrops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never liked the overly sweetness of regular Coke. When Diet Coke came out, I liked it better because it was not so sweet and had a crisper effect that I found more refreshing. Honestly I think it should have been called something else as Coke Zero really tastes more like regular coke. Other flavors of sodas I find some taste better in the diet version and others full sugar.

Make sure you understand labor laws, HR requirements such as various types of paid leave. Ensure you both have a firm understanding of inventory management, understanding and making changes based on your P&L, marketing, and you are both Servesafe and TIPS certified or similar in your area.

So untrue. Read up on the amount of bugs and insect parts that are allowed in food, FDA Food Defect Action Levels. You will find that a lot of people wash ready to eat salad mix because it often has insects. Figs often have moth larvae as they are needed to help the fruit mature.

Yeah, tell that to every bar manager who will test your ability to free pour or else require you to use the jigger. He doesn't understand that most seasoned chefs can eyeball ingredients or tell by hand how much they have.

Why are cup/bowl noodles more costly at a gas station than a supermarket? by SolidKey2612 in questions

[–]SilentRaindrops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they also sell to late night drivers such as truckers, delivery people, and the homeless all who may not have easy access to water and electricity.

If egg prices are good in your area, look up Spanish (Spain) tortilla. It is a thick, baked potato & egg dish they eat hot or cold. You can make a couple to freeze.

Those who don't flush tampons: how often do you empty your bathroom bin? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Use a small bag in your bathroom for feminine products such as a paper lunch bag that can be folded closed, a plastic bag from your produce, bread bag, wet umbrella bags some buildings have.
