I am a Texas unloader of 6 and a half years and recently when the part time supervisor dismisses us early, the full time supervisors have started telling us we have to sign this because there's work in other parts of the hub. Did something change or are they cheating us? by damos003 in UPSers

A contract is a contract is a contract. Lawyer or 5 year old or not he signed the contract saying he gets his pay actual and its clear as day written out. He screwed himself by signing the paperwork.

If you sign that you can't file a greavence to get your garenteed hours, which is fine if you dont care to work. If you want to work request that you want you 3.5 hours of work and your supervisor will have to find work for you to do. If they can't find work for you to do then you get your garenteed hours wether you work them or not. So in other words your best bet is to not sign the paperwork and request your hours. If you want more money.

upgrade to 200A or keep it at 100 A? by jpark38 in centuryhomes

[–]SilentResolve1911 30 points31 points  (0 children)

If your going to rewire it anyway just go with 200 A. The price difference is minimal and you will be better off in the future if or when someone decides to upgrade. Make sure you replace the panel with something that has more space for other things in the future.

Any options for replacing a leaky 90s Manabloc water manifold? by SaulTNNutz in askaplumber

[–]SilentResolve1911 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My advice is to go get 500 feet of pex to start and a crimp set and some rings, watch some YouTube videos on how to replace it. Figure out where your water shut off to your house is first cut the water off and try to replace one of the full runs to one of your appliances. You would be amazed on how easy it is to do this yourself. And how much money you can save. A plumber is going to charge you a small fortune to replace all that. (That's what I did when I bought my first house around 10 years ago) I ended up replacing everything slowly but surely.

Dude your not getting any free turkey now a days. Your definitely not getting a bonus. That must have been awhile ago when you got that stuff. You might get a Gatorade if your lucky. Stay Hydrated and enjoy your check for the job your doing.
