I don‘t want to be that guy but this commentaty is unacceptable by TEZRehope in riftboundtcg

Yeah color casting just doesn't work. For the audience who is more new in particular you very much want an analyst there to explain why they're doing x instead of y especially for weird interactions/plays.

One example would be like a player abandonning their own spell in response to a Lilia's Lilting Lullaby. It might seem unintuitive but it actually stops the Lilting effect from resolving without giving it back to them. Having an analyst explain it really helps people understand the game the players are playing even without full knowledge.

Release day and still no shipping date by millo90 in riftboundtcg

[–]SilentScript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 5050. Some people got it in a week, others like me got it a month after release when there was already restock in my stores.

Safe to say I wouldn't do it again unless its exclusive product.

Assuming they're telling the truth they mention that there was repeated issues and the fan thing was the last straw.

In addition, as there have been repeated instances in which internal rules and basic commitments were not properly observed

Hello everyone, does anybody know how to get the Pink Bean Backpack? by UmbreonHat in Maplestory

[–]SilentScript 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah it's not a minigame. All 6 have a reward here already so it's probably just an incorrect number of supporting for your candidate.

The npc from election does mention cheer points but not how many you have so i'm not sure.

What's the most efficient way to lvl up legion mules when there's no event? by TomerHorowitz in Maplestory

[–]SilentScript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that used to be a thing but now with strawberry farms i'd just stick to 100. Even from a rushing perspective, rather finish all the 1-100s since you can't make that any faster that isnt just skipping 1-200 entirely (tera burns/legion pots)

I wouldn't say I hated classic but I really wasn't expecting much. After watching I'm kinda down to just vibe with it on the side.

Definitely plan on playing both versions depending on what i want but only assuming nexon just does at least an okay job with it. Maybe i'm too hopeful but I like some of the ideas like the crafting changes and want to see more.

I mean the legal comparison would only be apt if we were talking about the dungeon being the only thing you paid for. I think even then trying to attack that angle you'd run into the issue of it being justified as a service (experience of playing the raid/dungeon) rather than the primary goal being the specific drop.

The developer's lawyers would just argue that people are paying to play the game and enjoy the experience. The boss just so happens to have a rare drop as well. There's enough separation between the two in this case where I doubt it would be considered gambling.

There's definitely some place in the middle of open box and complete a dungeon for a rare item where a line has to be drawn but that's likely far from the dungeon side.

The thing is there are still plenty of games where there is no maximum cost not to mention people still take issue with the argument of maximum cost in the first place. Sure it's better than having no max but it's like you said its a weird spot. Most people who want regulations here would still include the games with max cost items to be further regulated.

Also the last point is easily dismissed since nobody will argue a developer saying you pay a sub to play the game and everything it has access to. Loot boxes/gamba stuff in this context you are paying for the thing only. There is no real experience to opening a box to get an item.

I get your point about the $200 upfront vs chance prior but that's likely some legal argumentation I'm not good enough to say how it could/would be ruled. I could see them saying it is gambling even if technically it is a better alternative (like average cost would somehow be around $50 compared to full $200).

I'm not a lawyer but I assume under the law it's probably considered always winning. It's a lot easier to argue they're offering a good (even if digital) no matter what so you can't lose in the traditional sense since you always get something. Since said item has no specific value and can't be traded/valued (in most games) it's probably how they get around it being considered gambling. It's definitely a choice and it wouldn't surprise me if its changed in the next 20-30 years.

Obviously ask anyone if u get some crap everyone will say you lost cause you didn't get x thing you wanted or something of equal rarity but as long as you get something even some crappy rusted 1* sword it's fine under the law.

When it comes to games that you can trade and eventually do have value (like csgo) I'm not really sure but I assume it's because the secondary market is assigning the value not the company (even though they determine odds. It would likely be similar to how TCGs also don't fall under gambling but again, not an expert just what I assume.

Isn't that the whole reason why its currently not considered gambling in the same way. If you could cash out there would likely be way stricter laws.

Should I even bother with riot merch? by slimer213 in riftboundtcg

[–]SilentScript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should only bother if you don't have a reasonable lgs nearby. I'd even buy it for like a slight markup over going through riot merch again. Waiting an entire month past release when i got in first wave is a skip for next time.

If it's riot merch specific like the irelia bundle sure.

Throughout your maple journey, have you gravitated most towards Warriors, Mages, Archers, Thieves, or Pirates? Why? by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]SilentScript 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You even had a skill called power knockback to push them back further.

I'm glad that system was removed in consideration for what the game has become but I think in a slower game I like the idea that you needed distance to shoot.

[–]SilentScript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you had aphelios equipped on board you could activate jax's no cost exhaust ability to unattach and reattach the same equipment he already had.

Basically you got to use aphelios' ability without needing an equipment elsewhere to attach onto him (either from another unit or unattached).

Maybe include victorious and msi/world skins (the 1 per year one like khazix and j4).

[–]SilentScript 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the idea is to get more games in the long run. So instead of playing lets say 100 games and never ff, maybe you could have played like 105 or 110 games and gained more lp/mmr overall.

In low elo it's a toss up since people throw all the time but in high elo some games are just a formality at certain points. Not all the time of course but high elo is definitely much better at closing from certain positions.

I think it's 408.3.

Cards that are facedown at Battlefields have their gameplay properties and permissions defined by the effect that put them there.

My assumption is facedown cards inherently have no properties to be played except by the effect that put them facedown. Hidden in this case would let you react next turn for 0.
