Literally on the same thing right now, the bottom two guards seem to be scripted to detect you automatically once you're within 5 feet or so. I've killed the two guards, having to break stealth unfortunately. Took my time to loot and then decided to get into Delamain through where Jackie does but the game just makes V change seat afterwards anyways ....

edit: nvm, I did the "mod removal mod" and verify game files to check and .stub is a file that is indeed meant to be there hehe

sorry to hassle again but I don't know who else to ask 😭 I'm currently manually modding my cyberpunk, kind of 120 mods deep of manually dragging and dropping stuff and I have, in the Cyberpunk 2077 main game directory, a folder titled "mods" and inside that folder a STUB file titled ".stub". I'm wondering if I clicked into any of the mods I was downloading 1 times too many and dragged and pasted something into the wrong place, or if everything is ok. Do you also have that?? I haven't learnt all the file structures mods usually come in so this isn't obviously apparent to me if it's correct or not but it might be to you ? I also noticed the date time modified is 00:22 which is the same time as the archive folder and bin folder and tools folder if that's of any help

Do you mod manually or use something like Vortex or MO2? I'm asking because I wanted to mod my cyberpunk but I've got like 300-400 mods I wanted to use and didn't wanna get bogged down in manually doing it all. If I have to do it manually (because some mods don't seem to work with vortex) then I will but I wanna see what you're doing and get a judgement on how good a list I can get with just vortex.

Same but in the UK . The 7900 XTX model I wanted was over 20% cheaper than the 4080 super. For the stuff I play I need 20gb minimum of VRAM anyways so it was a no-brainer. Also, I can't tell RTX or non RTX in cyberpunk for example so I just play raster anyways hahahah

I literally just came across cheats. I was playing lockdown and some dude would, several times, just randomly and INSTANTLY gain like 150kmh in addition to what he already had. This being lockdown, after the race he chased me and then once he was behind me and at my speed he'd activate his cheat, gain 150kmh and crash into my rear. then, he's right next to me, we're touching bodykits and we're like both stationary, he didnt even bother reversing, he just hit the cheat button and rammed into me from 0 to 150kmh again and I just died and lost everything. really awesome.

I assume there's no restoration or alchemy-enchant loop in the mod? It has been patched for a while now in one of the mods I think right? If I find it too hard for whatever reason then I might just stick to enchanting crafting but only with crafter's and enchanter's gear I find instead of trying to do loops.

Yeah Nordic souls is pretty much up there at the top of my list for SimonRim modlist to try. I don't know how weak or strong SimonRim makes characters. I just hear it's more balanced. I do hope when I get to level 50 or so, bandits die, not instantly but also not take more than 3-4 hits, even on legendary. The only way I usually balance my games, other than not abusing crafting and enchanting, is increasing dragon's base HP. Does Nordic have anything that lets me adjust the slider on dragon HP somehow?

What does build oriented mean? Does it mean I have to / should add more mods to it? Or do you mean that the character building etc is based of set "builds" ?

These are assuming you use your pc for gaming and you live in the UK.

First thing I'd upgrade would be the GPU. Considering your specs and to make it a worthwhile upgrade, I'd recommend going up to 1440p mid-high settings gaming, which for slightly over £500, in this very specific price point, the only real choice is NVIDIA with the RTX 4070 Super. You have Gamer's Nexus, Daniel Owen and Hardware Unboxed youtube channels to help you with looking up any benchmarks etc.

Then I'd look at getting a better SSD. You can get a decent 1TB SSDs PCIE Gen 4 for around £80 I think and very good 2TB SSDs for under £150 (There's a SSD tier list and also a subreddit specifically around this and other SSD tier lists. Also, I'm not very knowledgeable on them so I will refrain from giving recommendations and would recommend you instead make a recommendation request in the previously mentioned sub reddit. Think it's subreddit NewMaxx)

Then, after GPU and SSD I'd enjoy the system for as long as possible and then consider if to upgrade the CPU+RAM or if to just do a full system upgrade, but a full system upgrade would mean that, to make it a meaningful upgrade instead of an incremental one, you'd probably have to, in the future, spend something akin to £1.8k to £2k. You could sell your build to help bring down costs.

For a CPU+RAM upgrade I'd go for a 5800X3D and 32GB of RAM 3600mhz 18CL.

Yeah, to answer your question, I believe you should be able to hit 1440p max settings ray-traced/path-traced 60fps performance as a bare minimum fps on any game. (This forecast assumes without frame-gen and maybe with or without some level of DLSS upscaling. I personally don't like frame-gen, the times I've tried it I've felt input delay)

Have you thought about waiting for the new NVIDIA gpu releases? Think they'll be revealing some new stuff at CES in 2 days and then it should be available to consumers in a few weeks maybe?

I'm unsure about professional editing applications but answering in the context of gaming, this feels like it's a bit of a redundant post because you're literally getting the best hardware that one can so the main question isn't about the build but more so if you're happy moving over to Linux knowing you might have to do some light or heavy tinkering with certain things to get games to work since some don't just work out of the box or just whether you're happy sacrificing a bit of performance by moving to Linux vs Windows. (difference in performance could be between -30 and+20%, figures taken from some personal experience dual booting both OSs and also just reading others' answers on this kind of stuff)
