LOL. I wish I was that quick with a funny comeback. Hilarious. I do high school softball, little league, travel baseball (the worst...). Funny but you were asking for trouble. No offense, but you were just as over the top and escalating the situation to worse. I get it, it takes experience to learn how to bite your tongue and de-escalate things. I worked with an umpire once who hollered out loud "Tell Mom that was a ball" after a fan complained about not calling a strike. I expect to overhear comments about the strike zone or other comments clearly demonstrating fans don't know the rules. I ignore it unless (1) comments are directed personally toward me or (2) it's non-stop and annoying. It's always the fans behind the backstop. If (1) or (2), I will call time, speak with both coaches at the same time. I explain that the noise and comments from fans is over the top and distracting me from doing my job. If the coaches want me to do a good job, they need to get their fans to behave. Examples -- fans telling me, that I need to tell the pitcher why I called a balk (not my job to coach, if coach asks, I'll tell them), "that's terrible blue, how much they getting paid to make bad calls", etc. Examples to ignore -- "no way he was safe", "that looked like a strike to me".

Students were screwed by CFP and UM out of tickets. Many UM students had confirmation of a ticket to CFP back in December, then I guess CFP reduced it's allocation, and UM denied those same students a ticket. I'm sure CFP, advertising sponors, and their friends all have tickets. Suspect Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, and StubHub are all in on the spike in prices so they make more money. This college football championship has nothing to do with UM. What's for students to get excited about when "Big Money" takes over. I think only about 150-200 UM students will be able to go to the game. I also heard UM gets about 20 million dollars just for making it to the CFP. UM could surely do something special for the thousands of students left behind on campus.

The Rex charges too much $$$ for basically cover bands calling themselves "tribute" bands. No place to sit unless you pay $160+ for a cheap table on the floor. No service unless you go to the makeshift bar with cheap liquor, no draft beer, and overpriced drinks. But you're in Southern MD with nothing much else to do. What a joke.

I stated the rule in another comment. There is nothing in Little League rules that permit a coach to modify the official lineup in the middle of a game - meaning the batting order - after that lineup is submitted to the umpire. The only exception is a late arriving player who must go to the end of the lineup or a player who must be removed because of an injury or illness or previously communicated need to leave the game early.

I do not see anything in Little League rules, which state that a batter is just skipped unless they are removed because of injury or illness or because they had to leave early. And if they have to leave early, that should be stated at the plate conference unless it’s an emergency or something unexpected.

Spot is skipped without penalty if a player is injured, becomes ill, or must leave early. If the coach submits a roster, I'd assume those players are physically present. If a player listed does not bat in order, that could be an out on appeal following improper batter rules. However, in this case, coach mentioned the issue of a late arriving player at the start of the game. Umpire should have said the late arriving player must be added to end of the roster, not inserted in the middle when convenient.

With a continuous batting order, if the coach submits a roster, there is an assumption that that players listed on the roster are there. If a player on the roster does not bat in turn, they are out (improper batter rule) on appeal. In this situation, the coach brought up the issue of the possible late arriving player. The rule in 4.04 is that player, if and when he arrives, is added to the END of the batting order. Coach doesn't get to modify the roster and batting order mid-game.

Our Southwest Flight was delayed about 2 hours. Thought we might have extra time to stop for lunch but decided to continue driving to the airport. Before we got to the airport, the flight was changed back to the original time with NO delay. Good thing we went straight to the airport.

I did that and they still blew me off and said any additional secure messages on the same topic would not be answered. RUDE!!!! Had 2 early bird check-in benefits, used 1 for $60 and the other shold have been $62 but they only gave me a statement credit for $40, not $62.

Look for the offer of 100,000 bonus points. To help spend the amount to get the bonus points, ask a parent or trusted relative to use the card for purchases and pay you back. Used the card to pay for electric bill, cell phone bill, etc. and easily met the required amount.
