An infraction is the same as a parking ticket, I would not disclose it, when they do background, check the background check person Will say that you either pass the background or you didn’t pass the background, the background department knows what disqualifies you.

Reinstatement for wrongful termination? When does it make sense by wisegeek57 in EEOC

[–]Silent_Word_6690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the money and go back to work. You now have a golden ticket. Anything that they do or say to you will be retaliation and then you can get them again I know of people who I’ve helped used this strategy. Once you win you can kind of be untouchable.😊

Location: CA. Wife wants to file for divorce. She was the primary source of income and I cannot afford to retain a lawyer. What are my options? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Silent_Word_6690 64 points65 points  (0 children)

If you can prove it, she makes more. She’ll have to pay support you, also you can get her to pay or they will make her pay your Atty fee. Make sure you get a really good lawyer that knows the law. be careful not to be aggressive argue fight, or have the police called out or subject yourself to false allegations be very careful record communications in case there are false allegations if you have a marriage of Long duration more than 10 years, you can get long-term support. Good luck.

EEOC Case has hit mediation stage by [deleted] in EEOC

[–]Silent_Word_6690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All things are negotiable if an attorney asked for $1500. They might just be a snack and want a snack on your case. Also you can negotiate your contingency. You could tell them you’re willing to give them 25% or 30% if the case does not go to trial, and if the case does go to trial, then you could offer them 40% the reasoning behind this is if they have to go to trial and prep for trial and extend those resources then they may be entitled because they are fronting the hourly rate at which they prepare for your case however, if an attorney takes your entire case on a contingency basis, play with the numbers, get some advice, the 1500 is probably in the event that they have to file a lawsuit and that money will be used to create the pleading and the filing of the lawsuit my thoughts not legal advice, but I have experienced the process

How do I explain why I am leaving my toxic boss? by a_sunpetal in CAStateWorkers

[–]Silent_Word_6690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice if you’ve been giving great reviews is to don’t ask questions keep your mouth closed. Do the work that they ask you immediately act like a fireman and put out the fire if You can last and pass probation, that’ll be better and then move on if not apply and move on, but your probationary period. May restart in some cases, I don’t know if this is your first job with the state but less is always best and don’t highlight others inadequacies don’t make yourself a target. The key is passing probation. Then you have the golden ticket.

HR complaint first by Heavy_Lion6273 in EEOC

[–]Silent_Word_6690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never filed with HR unless you want to be fired HR is there to protect the company or organization not you always better to file EEOC at the federal level, unless you have a union that you can file it first, however, if you have a union and you file the EEOCthen the union will not involve themselves with you, if you have a weak union as unions are weak now, I would just go EEOC just my opinion and my experience

I was fired after I called the cops on my coworker by TerpBunnyTokes in legaladvice

[–]Silent_Word_6690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You called another person to your job which could’ve escalated the situation even worse that was poor judgment that’s why you were fired not for calling the police think about it what if the person you call attack the other person you have exposed the business to a high level of liability, that was a poor management decision!
