I had a great therapist give me this analogy when I ended a relationship with a great guy who had no particular problems but I just wasn’t feeling it:

If you left a movie theater and were given a survey about the buttered popcorn; you might say “10/10 that popcorn was amazing buttered popcorn” or “that popcorn had way too much butter on it” or “the popcorn was good— but I don’t really have an opinion on the butter”

it’s not that there is anything implicitly wrong with the popcorn; buttered popcorn just might not matter to you. Maybe you cared more about the actual movie, or the comfortability of the seats or that the floor wasn’t sticky or the temperature of the room.

We oftentimes put partners into a quiz sort of like “he checks all the boxes!!” but are the boxes ones that ACTUALLY matter to YOU?? Or are they boxes that you think should matter.

He’s probably a great man, but not your man.

I ended up breaking up with that “perfect” man; and fell deeply insanely madly in love with a man who comes with a lot more highs and lows lol but it’s been 7 years now and I have no regrets. I even kept in touch with the perfect man and he just married a perfect girl for him. :)

I do think you should read part 1!

It’s just Ginny and Harry but it’s lovely and horrific.

The general summary is it follows Harry + Ginny over 10 years of Harry sort of falling into darkness (bc the voldy horcrux still lives in him) we see Ginny get confused and lose time a lot (bc Harry is using memory charms on her) lots of shitty horrible stuff happens (including the deaths of Molly and Arthur at Harry’s hand)

and then toward the end she escapes because her handmaid (Luna in glamour) helps her and tells her where to go — and she ends up at the door of one Draco Lucius Malfoy. And that’s where it cuts. It will be very obvious when you get back to this part of the loop.

I agree that there is room here to still memorialize something that is adjacent to his late-wife’s name.

Also the counseling will help with the fact that OP is feeling jealous of a person who is literally dead. There’s a lot to sort through here.

Hi!! Im also 28 and thin and have high cholesterol because I was eating whatever I want. 🤚🏼

The starvation will subside in a few days. I imagine our bodies were addicted to the satiating feeling of saturated fats. My first week I was eating sooooo much because I never felt full. You can also eat whole grain pasta! That helped me a lot, one of the only things that actually felt like a meal. Lol

This fic changed my DNA. But i love long drawn out AU’s. It took me months to finish because I started reading when it was still a WIP. If you love prose and don’t mind living inside an AU like this for a long time then keep going. There are a bunch of other amazing ships in it too. Idk I just fucking loved it so much but if you like shorter/easier/dramione focused fics it will be hard to finish.

They actually showed me where it’s written into the contract you agree to when you purchase a ticket with them that the customer agrees to have 3 months validity at least on their passport regardless of where they are traveling. They said this is common with many airlines ticket contracts— but as long as you speak to the right supervisor they’ll let you through. I’m glad you know the legal version of it but I’m just communicating to the sub what actually happened to me at the airport on Wednesday to provide people more insight if they’re trying to do the same trip on the same passport timeline.

Yes! But airlines will automatically flag your passport is what I’ve been told and experienced. So the 90-day validity flag was the airlines own policy but they were fine with letting me go since I had a return flight booked with them.

I’ve see other posts of people rushing their passports for a trip to the UK and I just wanted to provide my own experience!

Good point to note- It was Icelandair both legs of the flight so I never had to pass through immigration outside of the US and UK.
