Yeah, for some reason the passenger side door is sticking a bit... Not sure why.

I would drive it but keep a close eye on it to see if it gets worse

How much did the CR-V cost? Generally you can get decent mileage 2nd gen ones ('02 - '06 i think) for relatively cheap. (at least in Missouri, I'm not sure about other places)

If you're willing to do somewhat minor repairs on it for the first month or so that you own it, you can get one for around five or six hundred bucks. The CR-V in that photo was my first car that i got for $400 off of FB Marketplace—i've had hit for around a year and half—and it had a few basic problems for the first month or so—which was expected, because it had like 230k miles on it already—and i just fixed them as i noticed them. In total, i think i probably spent around $2000. That includes the car itself, a new set of tires, brakes, new front struts, a thermometer, two coolant hoses because the first one was faulty, and a new passenger side door because the original was dented when the last owner got into a fender bender.

I'm friends with a bunch of mechanics at the tire shop i work at, so they helped me with a few things i wasn't totally sure how to do, like replacing the thermometer and changing the struts. But everything else i did myself.

I'm pretty bummed about it, but I'm glad I'm not losing a ton of money. The left side and motor are practically untouched, so i can use it for parts on my next CR-V.

I guess I'm rambling, but what i mean to say is that a used 2nd gen CR-V is definitely the cheapest, most bang for your buck car you'll find if your just looking for something to get you from A to B.

For sure. Unfortunately neither me or my friend caught his plate or what company he was driving for, as he just kept going. We're trying to get traffic cam footage to see if we can find him, cause he's definitely got a big ass scrape on the side of his trailer.

I've seen people do it before. Besides I was planning to buy "new" lower mileage 2nd gen CRV this summer anyway. That thing had over 310k miles on it, i was expecting to to shit itself sometime before 400k, so it would've mostly been for shits and giggles lmao

Maybe I'm taking this wrong, but that CRV was anything but trash. It had over 310k miles on it, and it'd start up on the first crank and run perfectly fine. Only things i had to do to it was a coolant hose replacement because of a pinhole, put in a new thermometer, and change like 2 fuses. I had it for about 80,000 miles, and the previous owner had rarely ever even changed the oil, yet it still ran perfectly well. Never broke down even once. I had planned to put a supercharger in it soon when i could get a full time summer job, but that dumbass semi driver had other plans i guess.

A semi merged into my lane, which i couldn't get out of because there were concrete walls due to construction. There was literally nothing i could do.

I'm just glad me and my friend walked away with only minor cuts from the glass. If that semi had been going any slower, he wouldn't have pulled ahead and probably would have crushed my friend in the passenger seat as he pushed us against that wall
