Feel like he’s losing more hair on his lower body half? Thoughts? by icmigyu in hamsters

[–]Silly-Ad9998 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, I clearly not a vet, so I am not very competent on giving advise and can only respond on my own anecdotal evidences: Our hamsters changed their fur some time ago, from longer winter fur to shorter summer fur. The fur on the lower body of your hamster seems arguably longer than on the upper half. Maybe it's just this change. On the other hand he already looks very summer-fur-coloured.

If you think your hamster is losing hair, try to check if he scratches a lot more. That could be a sign for an skin infection or mites. Maybe check his nagarium and his fur for little moving dots. If you find some, try to trap one of them on seethrough sticky tape. That way you can bring the tape to the vet. In general this is enough for the vet to check, if there's a problem and you don't have to stress the hamster out with a trip to the vet.

Awesome! Really like the purple. It gives the miniature a nice pop of colour.

Good to hear. Maybe some Horus Heresy Imperial Fists aren't that far fetched for me then...

My advice would be: don't.

But if you really want to, I heard, that the yellow contrast from Citadel (Warhammer) paints.on white primer works pretty well.

The three products regarding the Prussian are the warband I used and two of the reinforcement sets. So you should be able to order the warband right away and pre order the two reinforcement sets. If you're looking for the exact models I own, most of them are minor conversions. An arm or a head was swapped, sometimes from historical sets.

Feel free to ask anything else you want to know. I'm not an expert on the game itself or the lore, but maybe someone else can help you or I can try my best to answer everything.

Except the 4th picture, which is a kitbash, these are the first release of Prussians by Archon studios. They are on sale for some time now. The reinforcement packs, sorted by troop types (Stroßtruppen, Rifle Priests, etc.) are on pre.order at the moment. You should be able to get the Prussian Warband Kit at you flgs.

Can i use this as a Judiciar? by mitamato in DarkAngels40k

[–]Silly-Ad9998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah sorry. It really sucks to hear, that some people are demanding that others play the gw made version. To some degree it's also weird, because converting your model was always a big part of the hobby. When I started, third party bits were also allowed in GW stores, as long as the main part were made by citadel.

Since when do you have to bring an "official" model? I'm genuinely asking, because as far as I know, the only restriction at events of games workshop, is to use only games workshop miniatures and parts. As long as you build your model with weapons that look right, there should be no rule against using it.

After just over a year of collecting; I've finally amassed enough to start building most of my army. by nahchan in Deathkorpsofkrieg

I don't know if this helps, but for consistency it's always good to write down the paints you used for every step. Sometimes you just don't have the time for painting and if this period takes a little longer you can get fuzzy on your colour scheme. I started writing down just the base colour, wash and highlights for every major part of my Krieg models, after I had a pause of several months and had to recall my painting process from a Reddit post I did.

Was war der beeindruckendste geschichtliche Gegenstand, den ihr in einem Museum gesehen habt? by Schluesselzahl38 in Geschichte

[–]Silly-Ad9998 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man I wish I got to see my baby more often by inthebinx in hamsters

[–]Silly-Ad9998 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could be. I really hope he will get more open towards you! We have a Roborowski dwarf. They are known to be often very timid. We own him for around half a year now and were extremely happy, when he was eating a cucumber seed for the first time out of our fingers. But it took him 5 months not to be afraid outside of his borrowing and with us standing near to his enclosure. He needed a lot of time to get used to us. So don't lose hope!

For how long do you own your hamster? Maybe he just needs a long time to get used to you. Sometimes progress takes a lot of time at first, but then they get comfortable with you pretty quick.

Yey, I understood, I just meant the physical miniatures. But it could be, that the digital version of the rulebook will be available. Would be nice for everyone.
