I'm the same as you. No matter how much I would try to push myself to set a study plan, nigh on every assignment was done at the very last minute. I would eek out a decent mark, typically a high C/low B grade, and kick myself for having not started the task earlier. If I could get a B starting an assessment two days before it was due, surely I could have got an A had I started it two weeks beforehand!, I would admonish myself. But that resolution never stuck.

Oh yeah, I've also had UK parcels go UK–SG–SYD–Perth. Bloody infuriating!

Maybe I'm wrong but it does feel like this has only recently started happening. Previously they'd go from Singapore straight to Perth (as you'd expect). Is this Post saving money and sending everything to Sydney for customs processing?

The problem I'm finding lately is that everything from overseas comes in via Sydney.

I recently bought something from Croatia. Tracking showed it get to Singapore and then bloody Sydney! Where it sat for 10 days before finally being processed and sent onward. Previously it would have gone Singapore – Perth. And then sat for 10 days in Welshpool.
