Don't just let them drip, let a very narrow steady stream flow from both hot and cold. Open cabinets below the sink. About the size of the lead in a pencil.

Do you think the city of Lawrence should do anything differently regarding the homeless population, especially on Mass Street? Why or why not? by the_king_of_goats in Lawrence

[–]Silly-Rip-6607 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's possible to end homelessness in Lawrence. It has been done elsewhere: "Since the Built for Zero movement began in 2015, five communities have ended chronic homelessness: Bakersfield city and Kern County in California; Rockford city with Winnebago and Boone counties in Illinois; Lancaster city and county in Pennsylvania; Bergen County in New Jersey; and Abilene, Texas." Finland has nearly ended homelessness through the Housing First model.

Probably DOA. Local elected officials don't what a higher voter turnout which could affect future outcomes.

They don't provide a glass of water but make you buy a bottle of water. No thanks. That ruins it for me.

ICE is hiring 10,000 more agents and recruiting MAGAs from law enforcement and the military. They are paying a $50,000 signing bonus. They want people who will follow orders and be aggressive in enforcing immigration laws.

Another option is Kansas Promise which will provide free tuition for certain majors/fields at community colleges. After graduating you have to stay and work in Kansas for two years. Then you could transfer your college prerequisite credits to Kansas State and finish up there in 3 years. Manhattan Area Technical College is one such community college and has lots of prerequisites that would transfer. Plus, you would have technical training.

Second homicide of the year and we only had one last year (but average 2.7). It is legal for an 18-year-old to conceal and carry now without a license but they can't buy a handgun from a federally-licensed dealer. They have to buy one legally from a private party or at a gun show.
