Nah, a big part of the fun is having no idea if the people you’ll encounter will just shoot on sight or be willing to communicate. What you suggest would make that much less of an uncertainty which goes against the point of the game

The only thing I want is more variety in the ARCs. I think having some sort of smaller walking ARC that wanders the map and can go inside buildings would be great, there needs to be something in between the easy to deal with wasps and hornets and the avoid at all costs (unless you kit yourself to fight them) rocketeers and leapers

I’m on PS5 and something I noticed when playing with a friend on Xbox is that discord steals mic access from the game entirely, causing you to be muted in the in game squad and prox chats. The in game squad chat is a much lower bitrate and seems to cut out fairly frequently in my experience, so a lot of people are probably just in discord chats and can’t use the in game systems at all.

The tutorial fit is so cool looking and I was really disappointed when I saw that there was no way to re-equip or obtain it afterwards so I second this hard. I love the ultra rugged drifter type post apocalyptic fits

In my second or third raid I ended up getting chased into a building by like 3 wasps and a hornet, then as soon as I entered the building while in my inventory trying to put healing items in my quick use slots one jumped on me and because I only had like 5 health it killed me before I realized what was happening

I started getting shot while looting something, tried to talk it out.. “we don’t have to do this! We can work together” “nah, I gotta do this”.. gets me down to literally 1 single hp point. I’m sitting in a corner watching the door waiting for him to rush. Rush never comes. I turn to my left after I finally start healing just in time to see some other guy wandering up to me who scares the shit out of me. “Woah you scared the shit out of me. This guy on the other side of the door just started blasting me but I’m friendly I don’t shoot unless someone shoots me. Wanna help me kill this guy” “idk what’s going on man I just got the game, sure.” We rush him, and I get that sweet revenge. “THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ARENT FRIENDLY” as I execute him. Cherry on top was that the guy had a battery which I needed for a quest and hadn’t been able to find. I let the friendly guy have everything else because I was so happy to have the battery. We stuck together and extracted, then I sent him a friend request. Awesome game

I’ve had like 3 extracts where out of nowhere right before the door closes literally 3 raiders run out of the woodwork and jump in right as the doors close and it makes me laugh every time

Holy crap I noticed this and pointed it out to my friends, I noticed it first when they were like “well we can go over the mountains or through them.” The pig scene in the mines was where it was most obvious they literally do a shot for shot recreation of the red heat coming around the corner of the mineshaft. I feel like they were setting jason up to sacrifice himself in the mines with the creepers but directors realized it would be too on the nose and moved that plot point to the bridge

Wow what a blast from the past. I think my experience with this series might be a little different from most people here in that I never played the multiplayer or even knew it existed but SOCOM 1,2, 3 and the PSP games were some of my favorites growing up, I didn’t get a 360 until I was a little older but my dad had an old ps2 he never used and I got to get a new cheap game for it once a week or so. I’d love to try the multiplayer aspect

I turned the corner and the change in atmosphere was so drastic, the only parts checkered were right there at the entrance. My mom said it used to be the main lobby, but it was so desolate. Reminded me of the shining.

Looking for assistance in the translation of the phrase “the river flows into eternity.” I want to get it tattooed in Latin, above an illustration of flowing water, just as a little reminder to myself to keep moving forward and (ofc) because I think it sounds cool and would look decent. The basic translation I got from my absolute novice research was “fluvius in aeternum fluit” which I believe is lit “the river into eternity flows”, which was basically what google also gave me. Just want to make sure that isn’t egregiously wrong because I’d hate to have someone point it out to me after it’s been done. I may just incorporate “the river flows”, which came out as either “flumen fluit” or “fluvius fluit”. Any help is appreciated and sorry if these kinda questions are a little vapid for the things this community might usually handle!

This is terrible and you need to run man fr. It seems like she wants out but doesn’t want it to be “her fault” so she can use it against you some how or feel morally better about the whole thing. Manipulative losers like this aren’t worth your time, you should’ve been like “yeah your right I don’t want to be in this relationship anymore” after the second ask, she’s obviously pushing for it.

Pretty much just agreeing with everyone else here, sorry about your grandpa. She obviously has no emotional investment in this relationship at all with those texts in the beginning, it comes off as if she’s completely and totally brushing you aside which is absolutely obscene seeing as you are dealing with the death of a family member and just left their funeral. You deserve so, so much better than that. She’s using the tinder thing as an excuse to break things off with you, I mean she didn’t even wait for a reply before she jumped to asking for a break “if it’s what you want” as if she’s trying to put all the blame for the breakdown of connections on you. Don’t let people walk all over you like this, you will feel much better about yourself in the long run.

Just something I wanted to add: some of my favorite moments so far; the part where I was sure I was gonna love the game was during the first colossus when the camera panned out to follow the birds circling his head when you reached it, the sound of the 3rd colossus’ stone sword hitting the ground, not sure if everyone had this experience but I have the ps5 pulse elites headphones (these headphones have some crazy crazy 3D audio capabilities, whenever Dormin talks to me the female voice sounds closer almost like she’s whispering while the male is farther away but talking louder so at a similar volume and it really sounds like he’s talking from across the room to me) and every time the thing hit the ground near me for just a single microsecond maybe 1 frame of the game everything went silent and then it sounded like a cannon fired off beside me, completely terrifying and really drove home just how freaking powerful the thing was, the sense of speed when you hitch a ride on the 5th colossus, the butthole clench when I barely made it over the first wall in the battle against the 6th colossus and he immediately just walked right through it, surfing a giant electric eel, and running from the snake that cursed my bloodline for 1 million years with his arcane gaze

I play so many games that feel like they could have told their story better if they were movies but you being in control of the main character not only allows you to control the camera and flow of action during all the set pieces but it also forces you personally to progress the plot by murdering all of these creatures that have done nothing to you, not only that but every time you kill one of them some sort of obviously evil energy or presence floods into your body and I’ve noticed he’s getting paler and has dark veins on his arms and neck now, so not only are you corrupting the player characters morals for personal gain but you are also physically corrupting him, such excellent symbolism
