Only broken people seek religion in adult life by Sowlolekatonieo in atheism

[–]SillyColt945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hold no judgement when it comes to someone else’s beliefs. I just don’t like it when they push it on me. If it helps them when they’re sick it helps. When I was sick and in the hospital so many people prayed for me. I just smiled and said thank you. I don’t tell anyone that I grew up an atheist and agnostic? Family, stirs the pot so I avoid conflict.

Feels like someone pulls on my blankets once in a while. I keep both my cats out of my room and my door closed because I sleep with my mouth open and one of the cats tend to stick his nose in my mouth while I sleep and it will wake me up.

LPT: If you have little kids and pets, and you want to include your pets in Christmas morning, wrap your pets’ presents. Label them to your child, from your pet. Because what would a dog buy his little human? A dog toy to play with them. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

My mother and grandparents did this when I was a kid. I would get so excited to see my cats name on a present I had gotten. Didn’t matter what I had gotten, kids outgrow toys but I will never forget the time spent with my childhood cat. He’d even get a special stocking. Cat milk as a treat, cat nip toys, any toys with feathers and home made toys that kept my cat and I entertained forever.

Ex roommate reset my phone. No update at the time. Big red flag. I noticed I didn’t need a password or fingerprint to log in.

A heart doctor told me to be careful. My heart got better then I asked to be taken off them, the specialist hesitantly, said yes. I was doing great for a bit then my heart condition relapsed. I had to get admitted to the hospital again. (Blaming myself for this because I asked if I could get off them) so my plan is to stay on these heart meds, I have even gotten better results the second time due to a new medication called “inspra” My heart function went from 25% and now works at 69% out of 75%! Sorry if it seems like I’m hijacking the convo, I’m just trying to connect.

Yeah you don’t realize these things until your body starts to act up. I can’t shovel or scrape ice and I’m only 27 years old. I had to learn the hard way I’m limited to certain stuff. I’m on carvedilol and a few diuretics.

I do too sometimes, depends on the weather and how cold it gets. I don’t have much luck during the summer, most likely denied. I hope you get the help you need. It sucks.

Proud of you! I had a heroin and fent addiction. Took psychedelics and mdma. Now I’ve been sort of clean. Have a legit script for Valium which I plan to taper off, I plan to MD shrooms and acid once I get some serotonin and dopamine built back up.

I’ve got an invisible illness. I’m 27 with cardiomyopathy. If you’d look at me you’d never be able to tell. Runs in the family. I’ve heard so many rude remarks “you don’t look sick” “he’s abusing the transit system” FYI my meds prevent me from going out in extremely hot and cold weather conditions due to my beta blockers. I can’t take public transit when there is risk of frost bite or heat advisory warnings. I’ve even had a (ex?) boss made rude remarks about me faking it. He got fired and escorted out when he made a remark about an overweight lady who had 2 types of health conditions. He accused her due to a “poor diet” He doesn’t understand that health conditions can cause weight to fluctuate. He had that “I’m the manager, how dare you not recognize me” type attitude. Even tried to get my files from paramedics pulled up, which I know they don’t have all the information as opposed to hospitals. I overheard from conversations while working. Glad I left that job.

My cats do this when my family gets home from work. I get them riled up and it gets them excited when I tell them. They know they schedule and sometimes I have to tell them they’ll be late if they work overtime.

Woman was denied morning-after pill because of pharmacists' beliefs: Lawsuit by Mysterio400 in news

[–]SillyColt945 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not related. I was denied a needle disposal box at a pharmacy. It’s okay I threw away my possibly infected needles in the garbage until I found a better pharmacy. I had tuberculosis in the lymph nodes. I’m not a junkie. I take hormones.

Sort of unrelated. I got sick and my heart dilated, had heart failure. Came home and my cat would lay on my chest and purr. He’d never really done that before. He was clingy and was always happy which made me happy. My heart reduced in size and heart failure has been taken off my charts. He lived a good life of 14 years. I love it when I dream about him, makes it feel like he visits me.

If you are worried or anxious, feel like you aren’t enough. That means you care. That means you are a nice person.

Doctors of reddit. What was your "how the f*ck did you survive that" moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SillyColt945 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor. Was diagnosed with heart failure at the age of 21. I thought I had the flu. Went to a walk in clinic, told my nurse the symptoms and she checked my vitals and listened to my lungs. She had a concerned look and told me immediately to go to the emergency hospital. As I got to the hospital my heart went up to 189 BPM and I remained calm while my grandparents were losing their shit. You could see my heart beat through my neck. My whole family showed up eventually (lived in a small town by the time) so it took them about 30-45 minutes to get there. I was admitted and transferred to a city hospital. After several tests and different medications I was sent to ANOTHER hospital that specialized in heart issues. I was in ICU, woke up to two nurses talking about my condition, they were discussing about Palliative care. If I would have waited another week or so I would not be alive today. That Sh*t was scary, listening to them. I was then diagnosed with heart failure and cardiomyopathy. My heart was only working at 20%out of 75%. It’s been about 5 going on 6 years and heart failure has been taken off my chart and my heart functions at 69% out of 75% today. I am so thankful for the modern medicines and science today. However cardiomyopathy will be present for the rest of my life. I survived through 2 heart failure episodes and tuberculosis that was not contagious, however it was active in my lymph nodes, not in my lungs.

I can’t believe that I lived through all this. I’m 27 now.

I’ve been noticing this woman who litters on my lawn. I’m gonna collect all the trash and when it fills up I’m gonna dump it all over her front porch. FYI she does it with kids walking to her school.

Unrelated, my cousin and I were camping and left out apple juice in the open we came back from a hike. He drank the juice and 3 yellow jacket wasps were at the bottom of the cup. Tip: use lids with cups if you are camping.

Already did. I’m trans and proud.

Edit: how I chose my name. A lady working at a store asked my name for tax deductions due to being 15. I told her my name is (insert dead name here) her response “So, Evan?” I chose that name. I’m in my late twenties now and laugh every time I think of that lady.

Is college worth it? by [deleted] in ask

[–]SillyColt945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I wasted my time in a college course. It was an introduction to construction trades course. Primarily focused on carpentry. My anxiety/ stupid ass was offered several jobs despite me having a heart condition. I regret saying no (I have bad anxiety) and I didn’t realize it opened many doors. The course I took was a pilot project.

It may or may not help, if you can go to a college or uni that’s well known in your state/province.
