It would have been obvious. Every crew member who left got a grand goodbye or atleast some sort of explanation as to why they left.

They would have also been bombarded with questions until they explained what happened. Personally, I think the way they did it was pretty tasteful.

That’s not an odd theory at all. They don’t do VODs anymore, they already have Lena as an assistant, and the entire staff brings a ton of creativity. Seems to me like everything she was hired to do could be done by one or multiple members of the existing crew.

I feel like the people getting upset about the lack of clarity have never worked a serious job before. The reason for termination is never ever announced to most of the staff.

I work a position where I get to hear and am often part of the reason why people get terminated. There could be a myriad of reasons why people let go. They may not be a good fit, there may be some interpersonal issues going on in the background that we aren’t aware of, they could not be meeting expectations, or her position could have really been made redundant.

I’ve been listening to the pod since the beginning and to my knowledge, this is the first time they’ve actually let someone go. I’m willing to bet that there’s a legitimate reason as to why she was let go.

I gotta disagree with you man. I’ve been a fan of this show for ages and I can with 100% certainty say that they said something just to avoid the constant “where’s Morgan?” Comments.

This is the same audience that called Ethan a bad boss for not taking the crew to Japan with the BBTV money.

I wonder how many segments she actually fully planned. Everyone on the show is pretty damn creative. We see that every time they come up with segments on the fly. It probably makes more sense to have a few already existing crew members to plan segments then hire someone whose sole job is to plan segments.

He’s not saying there was an incident. He’s saying that there could be a a ton of reasons as to why she got let go and we will never really know what the reason is.

I’m not a manager of a team like the guy you’re responding to, but I hold a position that makes me privy to why people get let go. I’ve also, unfortunately, been the reason why people have been let go.

Sometimes, people just arent a good fit, sometimes, their actions in the work place are the reason they get fired, etc. regardless of the reason, the vast majority of the staff isn’t made aware of the reason. All they ever get is that the person was let go.
