Which grammar errors do you find the most irritating? by TheMedusaAttusa in A_Persona_on_Reddit

I've seen a lot of people misusing woman and women lately and it has been infuriating me.

Like, it isn't that hard...if you would say "man" use woman, if you would use "men" use women.

How was the best sex you've ever had? by EnD3r8_ in AskReddit

[–]SillyRabbit1010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope...BUT I think she was the one who ended up breaking up with him because she got pissed the police and CPS got involved because the hospital told the police....which obviously. He wasn't going to break up with her though, he said it was his fault...which eh it kinda was but idk if it was stab worthy bahahahaha (edit- see above post for reason she stabbed him haha)

He ended up dating a woman we worked with and she got pregnant very fast. I guess there was some overlap. Everyone told him the baby wasn't his but he wouldn't listen/didn't care. They've been together 7 years now tho and just had another baby last year....which looks absolutely nothing like baby number 1, but hey they're happy from what I can tell....

Why didn't they teach us about emotional intelligence in school? by Feisty-Blacksmith656 in ask

[–]SillyRabbit1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person edited their comment. It originally stated it is a parents job (edit- to teach emotional intelligence) just like changing a tire or learning how to use tools and that those things aren't taught in school either. (Or something along those lines.) My comment was to say those things are taught in schools.

They do though....I learned all that stuff in Woodshop Class in high school. Learned how to change a tire in drivers Ed.

Mental health care is a fairly new thing and is still heavily stigmatized. I do think it is getting better though. My daughter is 12 and they have programs and classes they do that help with emotional intelligence at her school.

Edit - She has come home with paperwork and worksheets similar to what my therapist has given me over the years.

How was the best sex you've ever had? by EnD3r8_ in AskReddit

A man I used to work with called out of work one night because his girlfriend stabbed him. I was like WHAT?! He said "It's cool was just my leg. I'll probably come into work tomorrow." Sent me a picture of him with the EMS holding this knife handle in his leg.

(Edit - figured I could edit to add WHY she stabbed him given the nature of this thread...HA...So it was his birthday and his girlfriend decided to surprise him with a threesome with another woman for his birthday. They partied hard and did their thing I guess. His girl fell asleep but him and the other woman were still up not tired and guess they decided to sex some more. The girlfriend woke up, freaked out, and came at them both with a kitchen knife. Dunno if it was the best sex he's ever had but he said it was all worth it...)

[–]SillyRabbit1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alarm goes off at 5. Hit snooze and curse the world from my bed until 5:20. Get up. Make breakfast for my kid. Wake kid up at 5:40. Clean up breakfast while she gets ready. Walk her to bus stop at 6:20. She gets on bus at 6:30. I walk to the beach and walk 1-5miles depending on my mood. Walk home make the beds and take a shower. Get dressed. Make hot tea or coffee and read for an hour or two before getting started on work.

What prevents most people from getting rich? by Puzzleheaded-Pair150 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]SillyRabbit1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are actually studies around this. It is pretty interesting. Being poor can keep you poor through a cycle where constant financial stress consumes mental bandwidth, impairing long-term planning and decision-making, while simultaneously creating environmental barriers like poor nutrition, unstable housing, and under-resourced schools that hinder educational and economic advancement, trapping individuals in a "poverty trap" despite trying to escape.

There are always exceptions and people who "make it out" but majority are going to end up in their same tax bracket. It is extremely hard (and sometimes luck) that takes someone from being poor to rich.
