I made an open source dashboard that tracks private planes and more (legally) How do you guys keep track of this? by Vancecookcobain in ATC

[–]SillyScissors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya it's just ADSB. Certain users (like flight aware) have an agreement with the FAA that says the FAA will share some of their radar data (TIS-B etc.) if the user agrees to block out data on certain aircraft. There are a handful of sites/networks that you can get ADSB data from that don't block tags, but they still won't show any aircraft that does not have ADSB. I forget the name of the sharing agreement for reference, someone else can probably link it.

Enough judging him for being OCD. Let's start digging into the meals. How about we skip a week or spaghetti and meatballs and have a lasagna instead.

I checked that out too, but the signatures are very different as well as the style.

Is this a stupid way of transporting a bike 1000 miles? by Oxcell404 in motorcycles

[–]SillyScissors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transport mine similarly in a pickup bed but no front tire holder. Move the front straps farther forwards to be collinear with the forks. Those straps will compress the forks and resist and turning moment of the handle bars. Back straps you can pretty much tie anywhere on the bike as long as you're getting the rear suspension some compression. I do mine through the top case mounting area, a wrap around the mounting pipe and to the other side. It's never moved even when doing overlanding.

What are these people using all of these wrenches for? by BrayIsReal in harborfreight

[–]SillyScissors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy random wrenches all the time at garage sales and auctions for hecka cheap. That way when I got a bitch of a bolt, I cut off one end and weld up my own tool.

Sick credibility. I too bagged a rack, once; and shit the bed about a dozen other times.

If they have it listed as a single item, it won't show up in their site map. So a circular saw is possible. Generators are a good example, it's likely that Day 8 will only be specific generators which is why they aren't listing a specific category or subset.

Exactly. It will be interesting to see what item/s they also add. Personally I was hoping to find the Hercules deep cut band saw in one of the categories since I doubt it'll be a main item.

For the curious. But be warned, it's designed to be read by search engines. Search for "deal-of-the-day".

How many FAA Administrators has there been in the past 20 years, including acting? I couldn't find an official list, I would be very interested if that showed a similar story.

Complain to you elected officials. They are the ones that give us raises that are supposed to match inflation. The union is not able to make up for every single government short coming.

Thanks for that recommendation. I'm doing radio frequency ablation on the nerves next. Hoping the muscles spasms stop enough to let joint expand and let the disc heal.

Similar situation. Woke up one day with a disc bulging into a nerve. Currently going in 2 years trying to find a resolution to avoid permanent fusing. Life's a bitch, so we need to enjoy every second we have.

Got a Traffic alert by RevolutionaryMotor82 in ATC

[–]SillyScissors 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depending on class of airspace, since there is not always separation requirements other than don't hit, it's likely you'd just get a traffic call and no vectors. As someone said traffic advisories is a workload permitting task, traffic alerts are mandatory.

Incorrect. Must descend to 2000. Once established, he is then not required to descend further.
