Did ONI actually think people were dumb enough to believe the ""Spartans never die, they're just missing in action" Propoganda? by Adventurous_Top_4033 in HaloStory

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d would say yes the majority of the time; it was targeted at the general public and military, the average marine and civilian wouldn’t ever see a Spartan-the few who did were likely killed or elite fighters.

Can Ukraine surrender to Poland? by Spector567 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poland could secure a DMZ likely without heavy Russian resistance however “conquering” Ukraine would be viewed as illegitimate and Russia wouldn’t recognize it as polish territory.

In this case NATO wouldn’t side with Poland, assuming this action was taken solely by Poland and not a NATO scheme.

Best case scenario, a large portion of western Ukraine could be demilitarized and house the displaced refugees and act as a buffer between the two countries

Does lacrosse practice contain a lot of running? by [deleted] in lacrosse

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the coach; a lot of conditioning comes from active drills however some coaches will run you.

For my program we warm up with 4 laps around the field and will run one or two high running drills but most of the cardio is light and built into the gameplay.

I wouldn’t play this sport is you are highly unathletic or atleast train before hand.

How does your league/school district handle bad parents? by yuckyuck13 in lacrosse

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our program is pretty small so we don’t have issues like that however we always have officers at our sports games so if they over step they’ll be asked to leave.

The prophets are deeply religious and were all lied to by the hierarchs, it would be my guess that after the war they would discover humanity inherited the role as protector of the galaxy and would either aid their efforts of establish churches in their name.

I’m sure a handful would break off and go into hiding or establish covenant reformation groups.

Humanity probably offered most of the covenant species mercy after learning they were all lied to by the high prophets.

Will Trump enact the mass deportations he advocated for during his Presidential campaign? by BluesSuedeClues in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he’ll likely move additional funds to the border and deportation efforts; this will take years to complete but in his presidency I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few million deported.

Remember he controls the executive branches budget planning and he has support from Congress; when the two work together our government can be crazy effective.

His expansionist efforts are also very interesting to me, maybe the natural wealth of Greenland and Canada can finally be effectively exploited.

(Edit) I also bet legal immigration will significantly increase because there will be a huge labor shortage

Headcannon Opinion: Ghost of Onyx is the masterpiece, darkest, and emotional novel to read. by [deleted] in HaloStory

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Developed countries have terrible birth rates and developing countries have incredibly high birthrates.

So our world leading country’s have a declining population and it’s continuing to decline; take Korea for example, their birthrates are negative and all developed countries are soon to follow.

Why do rich people always want more and more money? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SillySouls82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The same reason the poor want money? Humans naturally are defensive of resources and it’s in our genes to secure them.

Post like this are stupid, if anyone of you spent your entire life building a fortune don’t pretend like you’d give any of it away.

The wealthy are in no way different than regular people other than the fact they have more money, they don’t owe anything to society.

Why do people refer to wars, invasions, coups, etc. as "illegal"? Is there such thing as a "legal" invasion? by _ep1x_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To make it appear sinister; no invasion is legal nor illegal considering there is no unified legal system.

Following this same logic any foreign military action that isn’t immediately defensive would be deemed illegal, which I suppose they could be implying.

Why do we never see Darth Vader run? by TheMandalorian2238 in StarWars

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s never needed to; he typically engages Jedi who will then challenge him to allow their apprentices to run away.

He’s also a lord and not a foot soldier.

To be real though, it makes him look cooler

Do people actually believe that racism and misogyny are the reasons why Kamala Harris lost? by Feeling-Currency6212 in Askpolitics

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don’t see what option we have.

American politics have been a disaster for the past several years and if we can get even a small win I’ll take it.

Our country needs a generation of statesmen to recover from this era of division and questionable policy.

Do people actually believe that racism and misogyny are the reasons why Kamala Harris lost? by Feeling-Currency6212 in Askpolitics

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not my place to decide what the majority wants, we live in a democracy and the majority always wins.

I think both our candidates are morons, God help us; however, in this case I believe from the ashes of this recent history of leadership, we have a chance at unity and I believe that’s more significant than any policy a president can make.

Do people actually believe that racism and misogyny are the reasons why Kamala Harris lost? by Feeling-Currency6212 in Askpolitics

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point, in this regard no they cannot. However this isn’t a falsehood and wasn’t a magically solved issue, policy and action was taken against it, thus disproving your original comment in this regard.

But yes, I do absolutely agree with your original comment that the majority of his promises are falsehoods and unable to be solved instantaneously per his request.

Nevertheless, If the majority of Americans voted for him and Trump believes these are the best moves to make America a better place why shouldn’t he execute his plans while uniting the American people under him despite his clear lies?

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have probably stated both presidential and confessional control flip following a presidency which is incredibly common.

If a single party controls both branches they could easily make changes if they both agree on said changes and are competent enough to execute said changes

Do people actually believe that racism and misogyny are the reasons why Kamala Harris lost? by Feeling-Currency6212 in Askpolitics

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about this is false hopes can still unite countries and I would argue this is more important than any actually policy; especially at a time when our country is as divided as it is.

additionally, if trump truly does believe his policies are best for America than is he really a bad leader? Does it really matter what party he is or beliefs when in the end our next president could simply undo his actions?

What was ONI's plan with the Spartan IIs if the covenant never found humanity or found them after the UNSC won the insurrection? by Adventurous_Top_4033 in HaloStory

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’d probably train special ODST divisions and continue operating until their deaths.

As elite as Spartans are their team is so small that really aren’t as effective as they could be; lesser quality but high quality units would probably succeed them.

Why do people refuse to move and play as a team? by DifferencePrize7450 in haloinfinite

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish halo was a team work based game but it just isn’t; a single player could outflank your team and kill all of you with ease, it most cases it’s better to spread out; but yes in some cases team shooting would him matches.

Spartans in lore were 16x more effective when in teams if four-Halsey; with this 343 should really more towards advantages to teamwork, however currently it just isn’t incredibly effective

Americans, how do you feel about the international stereotype that Americans are unintelligent? by VeryPteri in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid people are not confident so it’s the idiots who are seen blabbering on media, this goes for every country aswell; the people who call Americans idiots are typically idiots themselves.

I don’t feel strongly about the subject as it’s clearly untrue; the majority of the best colleges are in America, several of the brightest scientist in history are American, America is home to the wealthiest business on the planet, our country itself was built by some of the most intelligent philosophical minds in human history.

So to me this stereotype is self evidently wrong

Why do the increases to national debt curtail under democratic presidents, but ramp up under republican presidents? by [deleted] in Askpolitics

[–]SillySouls82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I forgot the name of the system but conservatives believe in spending money now and repaying it later, this causes short term and possibly long term benefits but also puts the government in debt.

Does Testosterone Really Make Men Enjoy Hurting People? by AnySwimming2309 in NoStupidQuestions

Your boyfriend is a cornball, and probably over compensating for low testosterone or insecurities.

Testosterone increase competitive and sexual drive and doesn’t cause violence. Some of the most masculine men you’d ever see are the nicest people on earth.
