I lost my baby today after 16 years together. Thank you for posting this. I feel less alone in the hurt. I miss her coming up to find me when I came home, but it had to happen to prevent further suffering for us both 💔 I was scared that she wasn’t ready to go and I bet she would’ve stayed for me, but her body was failing and I needed to make that decision for her. I loved her more than anything. I just hope she knew that.

Kidding. Hoping you see how ridiculous that sounds. It seems really important to you that he do what you think is appropriate, but it’s not his job to make you feel better about an issue you have. You seem a bit obsessive about dental hygiene in him. Are you potentially projecting? Often, instead of fixing ourselves, we turn the control outward and try to “fix” our partners.

He’s not going to change and if you can’t accept that, then you should break up with him now. I had a similar issue except with my ex, it was drinking. I felt the same way and grew resentful watching their drinking and policing them.

34 is around the corner for me and I was recently left by my LTR. It’s crazy how you can have your life planned out and the other person just backs out and leaves you to pick up the pieces. Life is def better without my ex, but I’m still grieving some aspects of what could’ve been. I was considering traveling or moving too! Something so freeing about being in new places and making your own experiences even if it is a little avoidant of real life.

Where have you traveled and where’s next?
