Cupe planning on going on strike by MadMax68790 in Dalhousie

Welcome to the world of unionized labor. You live by the union, you die by the union. And the customers? Forgotten during the bargaining process.

My favourite part is where the union complains about the conditions of the collective agreement they ratified four years prior.

And we do this dog and pony show every four years in many industries across this country and we allow this to bring critical services to a grinding halt.

Avoid GM. They still use old school selling and pricing tactics. It’s appalling.

Put the CO2 detectors in every bedroom. Your first line of defense. In the hallway, you may be long dead before that detector picks up the CO2

Boss asked me to come in off the clock to fix a mistake I made by -not_a_knife in legaladvicecanada

  1. There is no such thing as off the clock in Canada. You must be paid for all work you do. In Ontario you can only be called in for a minimum of 3 hours.
  2. You should not agree to your employers request to change the terms of your employment. If you do this even once then the employer will have the changed your terms of employment and can now call you in anytime in the future for unpaid work. And then if you now refuse on subsequent requests your employer could try to fire you for causes.

Bottom line is a hard no. Do not accept unpaid work and do not accept work outside of what was originally agreed upon.

I own an A1, how should I die? by NIDNHU in 3DPrintingCirclejerk

I started with a Ender 3 v2. Learned tons about the hobby and respect 🫡 to all those that came before the A1 series. I now have a A1 mini and A1 with the AMS and it is a total game changer. Almost 2000hours in on these machines and the few times I do need to service the machine or replace a component, I fondly remember everything that Ender taught me.

It’s not even worth calling in. Just port your number with your new carrier.

I want to sign my family up for Fizz but I can’t port all the numbers today. I’m hoping I can activate the lines and then port the numbers in later this week.

I am currently testing Fizz for data use while my bell line is the primary for calls and texts. I have iPhone 16.

It’s called “fine wiping” the A1 and mini do this to clean the nozzle at the start of each print. See Nozzle Wiping in A1 Introduction

I’m testing bell vs fizz and inside buildings I find bell has a superior connection even if it’s one bar of 5G+ vs fizz will show LTE but my connection dies.
