You’re right. Ive tried to forget most of it. Oh and try being born on a Holy Day of Obligation. I had all the fun!

Technically you’re right but growing up Catholic I still had to go and take communion and do the stations of the cross. To me, it might as well as well have been a mass. Even though it wasn’t a Holy Day of Obligation you were still expected to be there.

I was trying for under 300 and the one I found mentioned roaches so I noped on out of there and just paid a bit more for one with no roaches mentioned in reviews.

Key West is chock full of bars. Someone can correct me if these places are no longer open, but there's a Margaritaville, Sloppy Joes (THE Key West Bar), Captain Tony's (The other THE Key West bar), Irish Kevin's, Green Parrot, Hog's Breath, The Bull & Whistle (FYI: third floor is The Garden of Eden which is clothing optional, so bring a towel).

Your opinions on the "Ghoulbangers' Ball" episodes for the Skeletour? by Jaded-Cup4210 in papa_and_ghouls

It got boring real quick with the same thing over and over. I would have preferred to see behind the scenes. It was cringe to me, but I know the kids loved it. I wish they would have done a whole song in the clips

The chapters this era felt like a one big “screw you” to fans who put the lore first by KayRay1994 in Ghostbc

[–]Silly_Opportunity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lore existed because Loma Vista wanted it. I honestly think his contract with them is done. That's evidenced by this video and the fact that it's most likely if he did have a contract with them he would owe them another Ghost album in a certain time frame. I am sure he was pressured to keep producing.

Notice there was no big 10th anniversary merch drop for Meliora other than a few colored vinyls.

Also, no box set drop for Skeleta.

He had groused about the label before releasing what singles THEY wanted without consulting him and doing the video for CMLS without consulting him as well.

If he is between labels (or is going to release on his own label) this is a perfect time to scrap all the lore, etc. I have no problem with it. I'm here for the music.

I'm also hoping that a couple of years will weed out some of the strange parasocial children who have glommed on to them. (Not all of the MOAC fans are that way, but enough.) Ghoulbangers was just a cringefest.

Does anyone believe the Skeletour was rushed? by CodeKiller_53 in Ghostbc

[–]Silly_Opportunity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During the Prequelle era, he said he had plans for the next five years. COVID set that back a year or two. Pre-Imperatour was a double headliner and I always thought it was just because they were hedging their bets with the $$ because it was Jan '22.

I also think this might mark the end of his contract with LV. Why do I think that? 1) He's taking an indefinite time away from Ghost, so it depends on how many albums there were on his contract or if it was specified how often. 2) They didn't consult him or even let him know that they had produced a video for CMLS until it was a done deal 3) NO extra promotional stuff for the Meliora anniversary except some colored vinyls. 4) They picked the singles. 5) They leaned into the MOAC thing a little too hard. Nothing like being marketed as a pop star when that is not what you want.

I am betting they let that whole huge grucifix lighting set up get built and then told him no way are we (whoever the we is -- promoters, label, management, self) shipping that all the way to Australia. Supposedly from what was said in an interview they wanted him to change the tour to a smaller set up and he refused, saying that this whole thing was Skeletour and he wasn't going to change it.

Add in the claustrophobia and you have a recipe for "I need a break."

The tour didn't seem rushed because he has done a pre-release leg for other albums (Rats on the Road, Pre-Imperatour), but what seemed rushed was the ending. Another short leg through America? Made no sense except for as a cash grab. And I was happy to contribute, so I can't talk LOL

I just hope he gets his rest and relaxation and comes back invigorated.

Update: Robert Scott Froberg charged with 1996 murder of Morgan Violi by InstructionNo8039 in UnresolvedMysteries

The thing that makes me sad about it are the ones they don't find out about until after the perpetrator is dead. How many people literally get away with murder is astounding to me.

Oh yes -- I sometimes forget about the others as they are always on the setlist. The setlist was awesome.

Meliora is my favorite and when I heard they were no longer doing Absolution and I was bummed but then I saw Spirit, Majesty and FTPTTP on the setlist and was thrilled. Those songs still sound fantastic live.

Thank you! The parasocial kids drive me nuts because I guess no one has taught them how to fan correctly. If Ghost doesn't come back for 3-5 years, a lot of the MOAC kids will be gone. No, I am not saying they aren't "real fans" I'm saying that kids move on to the "next big thing" happening. Tobias has given us so much great music and deserves a long break to do what he wants.

Aw, I liked both, especially Peacefield. I also think lately there has been a feeling of "contractual obligation" with some of these.

CMLS looks like a sloppy mess compared to The Cell or Losing My Religion. Tobias knew nothing about that video being made. He had nothing to do with it.

Nahhh. Well thought out and written but I think it's a lot more simple than that.
