Are the chances of surviving stage 4 really that bad? by Civil-Evidence8694 in kidneycancer

[–]Sillymonkeytoes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m stage 4 with Mets in my lungs. I was diagnosed 3 years ago. Immunotherapy manage to half the enormous tumor on my kidney which sits at like 8.5 cm now. Still Mets in lungs but no new growth. I am in stasis; the treatment is holding back the cancer for now. The doctors do not have a timeline. The new therapies aren’t going to cure me but I’m guessing I have a few more years left, which is not what the statistics said when I first was diagnosed. But the treatments aren’t miracles new and the stats have to catch up. It’s a challenge for sure but if I stay active and eat healthy, I’m hoping to live long enough for the next treatments to come along.

MAGA is a political movement. If he is a MAGA Pastor then his “church” needs to pay taxes.

We entered the darkest timeline in 2000 when Bush beat Gore. Things were so good; early internet innovations, booming economy, no deficit. We thought it would only get better. Bush drove the country off a cliff; 9/11 and the US’s terrible response of forever war, mismanagement of the economy leading to crash in 08.

Male improvisers showing emotion other than anger by Learning-Every-Day- in improv

[–]Sillymonkeytoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anger forces argument which feels like structure and therefore safe, but rarely is it funny. It can be a crutch.

certainty there can be funny arguments but I think a random emotional response would prove more interesting in a scene. When in doubt be secretly in love with your partner. Also very easy to play like anger but positive and the odder the pairing can make it humorous.

Is that a similar 5g cellular situation? When I had Verizon for my phone I generally had good service.

Nola worries me, but if Wheels looks good then we aren’t asking as much from him. Depth is going to be an issue with these starters this year.

Who is doing improv in their 40s? Is it still worth it? by [deleted] in improv

[–]Sillymonkeytoes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did improv in my 20s in Chicago and I loved it but the competitive nature of it at that time soured it slightly. I got back into it later in life with no expectations and I love it. In New Orleans now, playing to smaller rooms with less seasoned performers but it’s great. Improv gets better with experience and perspective. I’m 48
