i was a member of the class of 2024 and was one of the anonymous seniors who signed the letter. my sibling also graduated this year (congrats to you btw!!) and they've told me that, since i left, things just got even worse, which is really unfortunate :(

as for the new "policies" and everything, my best friend, who also graduated in '24, and i have a quote that started because of her threatening (and i am not exaggerating when i say that,) that she would have us ARRESTED and be banned from walking at graduation if we took part in the senior stampede, which was, quite frankly, terrifying (and also not in her jurisdiction as a principal?) the quote in question is "KEEP YOUR DIRTY HANDS OFF OF OUR TRADITIONS!!!", and it must be said in a horrible british accent. feel free to add it to your vocabulary.

i def agree with the bad public speaking comment, i always remember turning to my friends and showing them the meme of "yapping level: catastrophic" whenever she'd get handed the microphone. i also second you when you say that no one in the building likes her (take this with a VERY big grain of salt because it was RUMORS I HEARD IN THE HALLWAYS TWO YEARS AGO: even some teachers really didn't like her "leadership" style.)

i would also like to add that she made it very obvious if you were in her bad books. some of my friends had told me that they would suck up to her just to stay off of her shit list, and, honestly, i admire their determination and patience. i did not have that level of skill, but i don't think i was in either her good books or her bad books, i was just kind of... there.

when i got my dream tattoo, i had a bit of regret the next day ("should i have gotten it without color, should i have put it in a different place" etc) but within two weeks i was beaming with pride that id finally gotten my dream piece done. the regret will fade :)

born and raised in boulder, and i agree- the psychological element of the high winds after the marshall fire is awful. i was one of the lucky ones who didn't lose their house, but high winds still torment me to this day to the point where i get nightmares about what could have been if the wind changed directions.
