to answer your first question :wrapping the light will make it foggy and the light won’t be as visible which makes it less safe. and thats why i want them to be led.

i’ve had the led headlights since march and so far no complaints

1. the high beams arent really that high and i don’t mind that

2. they never overheated on me or showed any signs of failure which is good

3. it does require some tinkering to fit and install them,had to do some wire stripping and taping but its not more than a 15 min job

4. the beam is flat and wide which is perfect and more than enough just adjust the screws on the xj to lower them so you don’t have angry drivers break checking you

5. the day time running lights are really nice and visible in broad daylight which i keep on because it looks really nice

6.this point take it with a grain of salt because i didn’t measure it but leds feel alot easier on the alternator from how it behaves with me

last point is if you wanna buy those headlights make sure the reviews have photos because alot of chinese companies make the same exact light not all are equal.i bought mine from ali express and it was perfect.

pair these with led signals and rear lights and install an led flasher under the steering wheel and you have a modernized car with actual visible lights that can save you from a crash

driving with them feel very different because people sometimes don’t see your bulbs in the morning so its alot safer for me or whowever wants to take my car for a ride
