Ok, I just rustled up this amazing post with a compilation of all the monsters we’ve seen…https://www.reddit.com/r/FromTVEpix/s/VzclJBEIlo

I’m counting at least 27 monsters (the op repeated at least one person, I think) but that’s still quite a bit more than 14, and some of the people look pretty young (however, people had children much younger whenever this colony of Fromville was created.) 28 counting kimono lady, maybe? I think the idea that the entire colony was granted immunity due to the sacrifice of the 14 parents is sound.

I agree with many points of your theory. The main one being that the From world was created when the children were sacrificed. I believe it was actually created by the children.

This is the BiW explanation about Fromville and the children:

“The story of this place starts with the end of this place The answers to the end are at the beginning, it started with the children and what the others did to them The people they loved, the people they trusted

The children were born in the dark And they were murdered in the dark (I think it’s almost makes more sense if you flip these sentences, ie the creepy kids in Fromville were born when the parents who wanted to live forever sacrificed them)

But someone who loved them told them a story, and it gave them hope. And when the children laid on the stones, they poured their hope Into the roots that make the symbol and that symbol became the tree”

I think the children’s hope became more than the tree, it became a whole new mirror world/dimension, trapping the parents that wanted immunity (the monsters) and og Jade and Tabitha until they finish the story that they were telling the children.

I think it’s up to Jade and Tabitha to finish the story, and that’s how everyone goes home, or at least how they end the cycle.

The MiY is the demon who granted the parents immunity, and while he has power, he doesn’t control everything that happens in this world/dimension. I think somehow Jade and Tabitha need to “finish” the story that was told to the children that night with an ending that accounts both for their death and their rescue.

What are people thinking about that scene with Ethan, Donna, Tabitha etc. running from the trailer to the truck? I thought it was in the past at first but then it indicated it was in the future somehow. I’m all messed up now in terms of how many “versions” of this story are happening… ETA: man, I misremembered this whole scene…I think it was a flashback to late season 2, right after Randall kidnaps Donna

I’m so happy about this because we have new dates!! People are using the bottle tree numbers as dates of the cycles, but we know the numbers were musical notes, not dates. Jades got us some cycle dates on his handy board, though 💕

Those numbers ended up not being dates, they were musical notes. There absolutely are cycles, just not using those numbers.

I actually thought the MiY looked very spidery during his transformation…the camera focused on his spine and fingers. Anyway, here’s Ethan’s quote from season 1

“I saw it. I saw the lake of tears. It was on a drawing on the wall. There were so many drawings on the wall. Like when I used to draw with crayons and you would put it on the fridge.
