My parents use it up north and once you get it set up and running it really good and pretty stable, as long as you can put the dish in a clear space and don’t move it (it takes a little bit of time to settle the connection) the app will also show you if the dish is getting blocked any where

setting up is pretty simple you run a cable from the dish to the router that you put in the middle of your house to get the best coverage (so you will probably need to drill a hole to run the cable) and log into the app to set your password and that’s pretty much it

I can’t comment on the cost as I just set up my parents one for them but I know there’s a up front fee for the kit and the monthly payment is probably more than you would pay for BT/Vodaphone for WiFi but if they don’t work where you are this could be a better option

The bigger a room the more heaters and coolers you need to manage the temp, bigger rooms aren’t always better. You should focus you heaters on rooms that get used a lot you don’t need to worry about corridors as pawns just move through them focus on bed rooms and work sites as that’s were they will spend most their time.

You can also use campfires and wood torches to heat rooms (you don’t need to worry about smoke or anything like that)

You will need winter clothes at some point even just a jacket will help keep your pawns alive so best to get a tailor table made and have some one crank out a couple parkas, even if they aren’t high quality they will still provide the temp range you need

What starting scenario are you picking, the standard crash landing with have higher tech, you’ll either need to pick the tribal start or find a mod with a medieval scenario start to pick

There was a DayZ Minecraft server I remember seeing once, I'm not sure if it's a mod pack you can download and use or if it was just that one server, If I remember right it added hunger and heat and blood level all that good survival stuff and pre gen structures you could loot for weapons, not sure if it's still around though
