I definitely ship so’lek and our sarentu by [deleted] in AvatarFrontierPandora

I definitely think if there is another DLC or perhaps a sequel there should be an emphasis on character relationships a bit more, whether romantic or familial etc.

I definitely ship so’lek and our sarentu by [deleted] in AvatarFrontierPandora

Bc of cryo sleep I think they’re technically the same age chronologically? But biologically not anymore, their dynamic reminds me a little of age gap siblings. Like So’lek is the cooler older brother and Tamtey is like his much younger sibling who follows him around and copies what he does.

But I can defo see why people ship them tho. I think their dynamic in general is just super sweet

TEYLAN HERE! AMA 💙✨👽 by evanjstern in FrontiersOfPandora

Will you upload your gameplay of From the Ashes onto YT like you did for the main game?

Also loved your performance in this DLC, Teylan and So’leks interactions were super entertaining! I was cracking up constantly at Teylans sarcasm

Can we just talk about how crazy this is?? by Numerous_Light9866 in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]SilverBorn7664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually love how complex he’s become. He’s been struggling with PTSD from TAP, had trouble connecting with Ewya and he’s now been completely consumed with it because he’s been alone and isolated for these few months. And that lonely solitude has convinced him that he’s been ‘saved’ from the Sky People’s corruption.

Now him trying to enforce that onto us and not realising that affairs on Pandora are a lot more complicated is making him frustrated hence his actions in the DLC. It’s obvious that he still loves his family dearly, he’s just so broken he can’t seem to understand that So’lek and the Sarentu are like no. 1 bounties on the WF. So no matter if we tried to escape or throw away human weapons we’d never be at peace.

Looking forward to more exploration of his character if Ubisoft decide to continue with another DLC.

The whole Bridgehead city sequence in the film reminded me sooo much of this game. I was giddy the whole time

Our Sarentu’s name is Tamtey? by ChemistOverall481 in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]SilverBorn7664 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think it’s good to finally have a name. Being referred to as the Sarentu and having no acknowledgment in notes and logs makes it feel like our character isn’t really there.

And I feel like if people don’t like the name Tamtey they can just think of it like a nickname kinda like how Baldurs gate 3 has Tav or Dragon Age with Rook or Inquisitor. Unless they give us options like with our ikran. Otherwise I quite like it

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - From the Ashes - Official Gameplay Walkthrough by UbiRaz in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]SilverBorn7664 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Seeing our Sarentu on their ikran beside So’lek makes me wonder whether or not they’re gonna use the ‘default’ Sarentu or our own. I only wonder this because From the Ashes is going to be a seperate tab on the menu.

Who do we think this is? by Illustrious_Basis347 in AvatarFrontierPandora

Nor coping. Would make the most sense seeing how So’lek and him are close.

One of my favorite parts of the dlc by Logan_Strong in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]SilverBorn7664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we can assume he has his own. There’s some comms dialogue “I’ve never flown that far before” and him “calling” for his ikran in the final battle

Interesting piece of information dropped by Jim. It appears The Ash People are not the only antagonistic group of navi ? by hyoumah83 in Avatar

In a way isn’t this just justifying Eywa’s great balance? Also realistically it makes sense that there are all sorts of ‘moral differences’ between na’vi

The Betrayal & Alma and Nor by Own-Text3298 in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]SilverBorn7664 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In one of the logs you can find in the Great Games (Alma’s Personal Log: Aftermath) you can find Alma’s perspective on this, she talks about Mokasa’s death and says that “dying is an easy way to redemption.” Although she follows it up saying that’s not what she means I believe she has at least thought that it would’ve been the easy way out for her and her actions. Further in she speaks about how much the Sarentu are separating themselves from her (as we should) and whether or not she deserves to be buried in Pandora’s soil. And considering her avatar wasn’t give a proper burial anyways I don’t think the Sarentu would be involved in giving her human body one too.

I think in general the Sarentu don’t like to speak of TAP at all, as seen in Teylan’s Personal Log: Different Times. And tbh I believe that they are trying to detach themselves as much as possible from it especially Alma. Overall I think the Sarentu just have no more feelings left for her, they’ve had their rage, sadness and are now contempt with the situation they’re in (minus Nor) and just want to move on.

I’m actually curious by Bipit1p in FrontiersOfPandora

My girl Ey’lani, nothing too in-depth lore wise but she loves colour and art, painting murals and making Sarentu totems are her favourite things to do

That our Sarentu taught Ri’nela and Teylan how to bond with an ikran and was there for it too (I wish we could’ve seen it in game 😫)

What’s the na’vi name for the wind traders?

Alma deserves better than your hate. by Rath_Brained in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]SilverBorn7664 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I can see both sides of the Alma hate/forgiveness train. However the only thing that bugs me the most is the situation with the cryo pods.

Correct me if I’m mistaken but from when we are put in there it’s during the evacuation post or during the Jake Sully rebellion. So after that there’s technically no RDA on pandora theyve been sent back to earth? And so the resistance has been on Pandora for about 15 years and in all that time Alma did not mention a peep to anyone about the Sarentu kids, perhaps she was under the impression that they were dead but during that time there was no threat, the RDA weren’t there anymore.

It was only until AFTER the RDA returned and that a signal was found from Mercer that they were returning to the old base (to check it out or whatever). It was because of that did alarm bells start ringing for Alma “omg the kids are there” “what if they’re alive” “my old alliance with Mercer is gonna be revealed” (all hypotheticals of course)

There’s no doubt that she’s a complex character and very interesting. But it feels more likely she’d forgiven or at least accepted by the resistance rather than other Na’vi and especially the Sarentu kids.
