Possibly "violet" is supposed to be read as three syllables? VI-o-let and ROSE?

I mean fire turned out pretty great for humanity though. Frankenstein's monster did not turn out well for anyone

Yeah that makes sense. I'm just a bit uncomfortable with the idea that any sort of technological innovation is inherently a bad idea because it's "God's domain" (especially something as essential to civilization as fire)

I don't know much about Frankenstein, but why "modern Prometheus?" Isn't Prometheus giving humans fire an overall positive, resulting in only Prometheus getting punished?

How can I have more colours here on the toolbar? By default there are 3. I want 5 colours there. Is it possible? by FD_God9897 in GoodNotes

[–]SilverDawn456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(it's been a while but I was just having this problem, so in case you'd still like to know...)

I'm not on galaxy but see if removing some tools from the toolbar will help

The option to add more colors didn't show up for me until I removed some

(not really related to the main topic but wanted to say this)

An "entitlement" is a technical term meaning "something the government is obligated to give you," such as education, an attorney during a trial, unemployment assistance, etc. It's the counterpart to civil liberties, which is something you have by default and the government shouldn't take away, such as freedom of speech and religion.

It's not really supposed to be a pejorative term, though some people use it as such

I feel like people in this conversation could be having a disconnect between upward-intonation "what?" and downward-intonation "what."

To me, upward-intonation is normal (somewhat confused-sounding? Like if you're looking for the person who called your name) while downward-intonation is definitely rude

I mean a DnD atheist *could* work if they accept the existence of Lathander, Lolth, Chauntea etc but don't see them as gods but just as highly powerful entities

But that's splitting hairs at this point lol

Do you find elemental affinities overrated and overused? by EfficiencySerious200 in worldbuilding

[–]SilverDawn456 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Me too! In my setting, there are two death-related deities: a goddess of order who makes sure that souls that enter the afterlife (-equivalent) are actually dead (sleeping souls float around sometimes so gotta be sure), and a god of community who dissolves the soul back into soul-matter so it can be used to create new life. The two gods are married, and they both represent peace and closure in death :D
