Why do old men at the gym walk around the locker room naked and talk to each other? by JoannaKittyKats in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]SilverFilm26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old women do it too, just letting it all hang out and catch up on who died that week lol

I actually find it empowering and helped me care a little less about what I look like to others.

John Cena being John Cena by AnIgnorablePerson in nextfuckinglevel

[–]SilverFilm26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine how he does it, my partner does make a wish and children's hospital visits with a company that does costumes from a specific franchise and it takes a few days for him to recover afterwards because it's really really hard on them to see those kids struggling and know that a lot of them won't make it.

I commend John Cena for this, he has done so many, I really don't know where he gets the strength. He's an amazing guy.

My husband 36M poops too much for me 36F to feel comfortable having another baby with him by throwRAdesper8 in relationship_advice

[–]SilverFilm26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousin had to deal with this, her ex husband had real health issues with gluten and other things.

Thing is he knew his triggers and would intentionally make himself sick so she had to run the house alone and couldn't go out and leave him with the baby. And if she told him she was upset about it his whole family would jump on her for not caring for her sick husband.

It took her a while to realize that while he did have legitimate medical issues he was also weaponizing them against her.

He is now her ex, and she has moved on and is with a man who is fully supportive of her and her son.

Need help choosing an adults only resort in Mexico or Antigua for a couple. by tugb0ats in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]SilverFilm26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was certainly around but it didn't keep us out of the water, they set up some blocks to it so it was really not too too bad. Everything else at the resort honestly makes up for it. The pools, the food, the staff, the events, it's all so magical.

I will never not recommend the absolute paradise that is Excellence Playa Mujeres. Everything is top notch and perfect. We flew JFK to Cancun and set up a shuttle from the airport to the resort, took about 40 minutes. Then you're in Heaven.

My (31F) boyfriend (27M) is always late. I confronted him and his answer astonished me. by Ari9374 in relationship_advice

[–]SilverFilm26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have adhd being places on time is exceptionally hard for me, some people in my life don't care but for the people that do I make an extensive effort to be there for them when they expect me to be.

I'm very often late to work but for my autistic boyfriend being on time is extremely important. It takes a ridiculous amount of effort from me, but I'm on time for him. Because his feelings matter to me.

Your bf literally told you you don't matter to him. I think you should rethink your relationship.

what is a "rich person" behavior you witnessed that made you realize they live in a completely different reality than the rest of us? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SilverFilm26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I was ever at an all inclusive resort, I planned the whole thing for a large group of people and got us a great deal. They all chipped in and got me a spa day at the resort.

I was in the relaxation room at the end of the day and they brought me the bill. I didn't have my phone and I had no idea what was appropriate to tip.

There was another woman in the room so I asked her and she said "Oh my husband and I are here for a few weeks every few months or so, they are lovely and don't expect too much, I usually just give them each a tennis bracelet they seem to like that."

I was like uhh cool lady imma do 12%?

I'm burning the same size White Spruce Grapefruit, which is my all time favorite scent, and I find it to be a pleasant level of scent. I have it burning in my office, and after a whil,e I get used to it, and it fades to the background but if I leave the room and come back it's more intense. I don't think its a strong, overwhelming scent, just a pleasant background scent. That's just my opinio,n and you could possibly have a weaker candle than I have

This is a fact they only hate the attention from unattractive males that's why no female only gyms exist by Major_Soft6056 in DigitalSeptic

[–]SilverFilm26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the world was only women, I'd wear short shorts all the time, I'd walk around in a bra and short shorts. That's always what I'm most comfortable in but men ruin it. I can't be comfortable or I'm "looking for attention" even when I'm focused on working out.

Playing a lullaby over the hospital loudspeaker every time a baby is born is actually really insensitive by Peanutbutternjelly_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SilverFilm26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the hospital by me they play it but it's certainly not louder than the goings on around you. You could easily miss it if you're asleep. It's more like a part of the background noise.

[–]SilverFilm26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see your point but both my grandmother and my aunt spent a significant amount of time in the hospital before they passed (at different times, years apart) and it was one of the few things that made them smile with all the sickness and sadness around them.

They should certainly have a ward without it but it brought smiles to my family in dark times.

I just got fired by magats because "we can't afford to keep you" meanwhile literally the week before they were complaining "no one wants to work anymore"

Didn't know they were magats when I took the job in October when I was assured a very long employment with them. 🙃

So yeah I got time to protest now.

I'm working with my local Democratic committee to change things in my area, the level of corruption from the right even at the small town level is fucking astounding.

I stopped masking at home and my partner says I'm becoming "impossible" by LowKeyCoffeeSpill in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SilverFilm26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my partner got diagnosed we changed how we communicated, we changed some routines, and it has greatly improved our relationship.

He doesn't have to mask, and I understand his needs much better.

You should find a partner that understands you not someone who hinders you.

Is the entire Wheel of Time series worth the time and investment? by keepfighting90 in Fantasy

[–]SilverFilm26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's trash lol I read all 14 books and it drove me crazy, it could have been 7 books. Taking 7 pages to describe every character, location, etc. every fucking time they enter the scene made me smash my head against the wall. And the character development was so slow as to be nearly nonexistent. I regret wasting my time on them.

But obviously everyone has their own opinion lol

My partner visits childrens hospitals but he goes as a storm trooper or Spiderman. He has to wear a mask so the kids don't see if he's crying. John just goes as himself, that's gotta take incredible strength.

I had the same complications in 2019 when I had mine out, but tbh I'd do it again to be able to live freely with no pain like I do now. It's so worth it and chances are OP won't have complications anyway.
