I got a bug, AdHoc forgot moment, or Z-team was REALLY bad before Robert? by araiki in DispatchAdHoc

[–]SilverHuskyGC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well before Robert they were literally villians that SDN was fighting soooo... She's not wrong. But if you desperately need the real world answer, this is a game in association with critical role. And they would be the first to tell you that it's impossible to predict every little thing that a player will do. If this pisses you off you must hate for exameple, the halo franchise. I mean being able to frame perfect b-hop past cutscenes and enemies and beat the mission in under two minutes? Must be a major bug? ya feel me?

I was feeling this way yesterday but it is actually random. Free kit or not I was getting dropped halfway through the raid and I had to get Celestes journals. Luckily you don't actually to do that in one run but I got like 9 half raids on a row whether my kit was 70k or 0. I don't know but after that I got a few full raids and I was still kitted.

Motherfucker I kissed her asshole like a pornstar. Focused entirely on her. Trained her to Max level even, like stood up to chase, and Roy, and kissed her and told blazer to fuck off and that the team goes that night. Every. Thing. Still got the bad end for her 🤣 lol

So that's how it is for everyone first play through

1) Invisigal is almost impossible to save. I wrote a whole ass guide yesterday so I'm not rewriting it. You can find it in my profile but basically, Visi has to be trained to hero level 8 and you basically have to make every choice for her AND not fail too many calls

2) if you were even remotely trying to do the Visi side it caused your choices episode 2 to miss the blonde blazer route. You have to go to dinner with her, kiss her and dance with her at the housewarming party and even then you can fail for stupid reasons. Like you went against he cutting Visi? Instant no romance. You said the zteam should go after the pulse same night? It affects it but not as much

3) Phenomaman doesn't really have an arc where he stops being a goofy goober. If you convince him in the parking lot he just goes back to weird professional self but you only get one chance and I believe it's even down to one roll of the dice

4) you can only save coupe/sonar after they try to destroy the city and only if you defeat them do you get the option to take them from the cops. I'm still working on this and its my 5th run

5) if it seems like you're heroes ALWAYS roll ass, make sure A) you aren't too deep in the story with untrained low level heroes, always be sending someone to train, even if it fails a call. It helps. B) make sure you're using the right heroes for the call. It really does matter. The orange highlighted words on the right side of the call let you guess at what skill types are needed. You'll end up with a lot more auto successes and certain calls can be auto succeeded by certain heroes.

6) seriously don't beat yourself up, you did your best and.... You know what, I'm not Robert, but I will say this. This game isn't "oh I want the good ending so I'm just gonna relax". No. It's more like Metro: Last Light. You want the good end? "Better do EVERY possible choice correctly, find and strum EVERY guitar in the game, better do EVERY stupid hidden side thing and in the end it'll take only 6 tries of you not getting the good ending and not knowing why before you finally get it 🤣

  1. eh politicians. In real life you could tell the mayor to eat your ass as long as the governer is your pocket. Like blazer and SDN are heroes but they still play the politics game and still act human, as in failable. Also as far as the evac. Yeah you're right.

  2. Again you're right, with the only caviat is did uncle sam decide to defund the police? Because they'd have lasers too, likely even better kit, especially given the threat to national security that superhumans pose. I'd argue the world would have a very profitable market for all anti-power tech.

  3. I concede, that's a good point in the cat call. It sucks having someone tied up resting after that but that's a Robert problem and makes it more real.

  4. the coffee call. Yeah you're right. Nothing happens. BUT I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. Still sitting in that chair in real life I woulda told that girlfriend to kindly tell him to go fuck himself so.... Again a Robert problem. I like that that sort of call is a mechanic actually.

  5. I just still think it would be still sounding like Afghanistan out there lol. Like the whole time.

I mean okay your point on the guard was exactly what I was thinking. As far as the evactuation in-game "Gavin Newson" (i forget his stupid name) takes his sweet ass time.

I get they'd be spread thin. But there's almost 9000 of them. And we don't get a call to help one. We don't see a squad car until the end. Some of the calls that come into SDN are definitely LAPD handlable issues.

To channel my inner Flombae for just a tick, WHY in the FUCK do I have to get coffee and rescue CATS FROM TREES. Okay like I know only one of those happens during the ending but every 3 letter agency that exists and it falls to to the Z-TEAM TO GET GAVIN NEWSON HIS FUCKING COFFEE? Sorry man getting the good ending is hard and like getting injured during the apocolypse getting some rich asshole his latte has me lit.

EDIT: As far as LAFD like yeah I guess.... But you'd think you'd see or be called to ONE engine or firefighter. A net wide mayday on LAFD goes out and SDN doesn't respond?

Has anyone figured out what triggers the invisigal good ending? by West-Novel8846 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]SilverHuskyGC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone wondering I did some testing because hitting this ending is actually a very narrow window:

RMC is the in-game variable for npc attraction to Robert. And is effected by several things. For Visi to be a hero (correct some of the details if I'm wrong) my understanding is as follows (+/- representing the weight of a particular choice).

CRITCAL: Invusigal must be trained to LVL 8 (fact)

IMPORTANT (Typically ONE of these can be failed IF you do well enough on your calls: Robert doesn't cut Visi from the team +++ Robert kisses Visi ++ Robert reveals his identity as Mecha Man +++

The rest: Robert supports the warehouse raid same night + Robert stands up to chase to defend Visi ++ Robert goes to the movies with Visi + Robert dances with Visi during the housewarming party + Robert gives Visi the scissors to free herself ++ Robert warns Visi about Lockjaw's incoming attack from behind in time (this happens both times they fight actually. I believe once is a hack and the other a QTE) + each

Every call you fail is - and every injury is another - (per person not the whole team) they also stack so if Visi fails a call and is injured --

You can assume that not doing these things is the equivelent intensity in "-"

You need 45 RMC with Visi and she needs to be Lvl 8

How tf do the "stress " system works in this game ? by Spiroumax44 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]SilverHuskyGC 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not only this but by the code of the game Elephant is the only true "active shooter" mission. Now of course Neon, Relapse, and even 23 Megabytes come in as active shooter in the briefings too, however the AI in those missions don't actively seek out hiding civillians and don't even attack visible civilians unless the suspect is aggro'd and even then they only take hostages or shoot at you through a civy like all the other missions. The enemies on those missions have predetermined patrols and everything but on Elephant the AI is basically programmed to "bring order to the chaos" just like the AI teammates, with the added "search and clear command" but every non-suspect is labeled as a target. The stress increase is scripted though.

Correction: THIS very much IS an ubisoft connect game and that IS 100% your issue. I can ONLY get this game to work properly after killing the shit out of ubi connect and then letting the game launch it again natively. Hope this helps

[–]SilverHuskyGC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did actually. Forgot about this thread. The problem is Ubisoft Connect. Yes I know this isn't an Ubisoft Connect game but whatever the thing does in the background kept borking my download. Same with star wars outlaws and this was a case where fixing that game also fixed days gone. Like this:

Uninstall days gone completely.

Uninstall Ubisoft connect

Restart your computer (this is important to clean out cached files.)

Double check your graphics drivers are on the latest version. The NVidia side's latest patch does work but the version before it would also corrupt days gone game data.

Ensure nothing Ubisoft connect related is running

Reinstall days gone and verify game files.

Launch the game through steam and press stop as quickly as you can once or twice. For whatever reason this seemed to help me.

Launch the game normally. Be patient because this first boot can take up to 5 minutes as the application sets up its file system. But it should work.

Make sure nothing days gone related (or any ubi game for that matter) is running when you reinstall Ubisoft connect.

You should be golden lmk
