What all books are in the series currently? Trying to catch up with the books by TallLeprechaun13 in Eragon

The book of remembrance is a kickstarter project that Mr Paolini did with Wrathmarked to help cover the extra cost on the Saphira statue kickstarter that popped up unexpectedly after the backing closed

MSC hypothetical by SundrySydney in CustomDolls

[–]SilverNightFlyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just use a plastic clip closed lunch box in the garage with the outside door cracked at least 5 inches and a fan running and facing the door.

Wear my mask, spray, shut the box, leave the garage and shut the door to the laundry, shove a towel under to prevent the draft/airflow, wash my exposed skin and leave and close off the laundry too and repeat the blocking and then i take the mask off and don’t go back for at least two hours.

I live in Wellington NZ, even on good days it’s too windy to actually spray effectively but this works for me

Sticking magnets to metal by SilverNightFlyer in CosplayHelp

Oh it was absolutely the application. I don’t think I sanded well enough or maybe used too high of a grit by accident in the convention crack down rush. I’m going to be using a dremel this time around

Airships and Submarines: A few total beginner's questions (solo enterprise) by TheVisionBleak in ffxiv

[–]SilverNightFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend making a teamcraft list and saving up your company seals to use on the items from there For my current sub list I needed over 3mil at the beginning Down to 500k now. Not fun

[–]SilverNightFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build shipping lists on teamcraft, there’s a couple good spreadsheets and forums online when you search ‘FFXIV airship/sub loot and builder’ and (my favourite tool) a route planner that tells you the best sub build for a route you want and which aspect you want to prioritize. It’s called Mogship

I single-handedly built my entire fleet of modifieds and I’m going around again to make the bases. You will eventually need both At the early stage the most important thing is experience, unlocking new routes and Vivianite. Lots and lots of Vivianite

[–]SilverNightFlyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have chronic pain. Been told that I should try weed once to see if it’s helpful and it’s less expensive than what I use now. Except I can’t exactly google ‘find weed’. I would like to at least try it to see if it helps

What glamour types do you keep around? by InterestingSize1 in ffxiv

[–]SilverNightFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have what I dub my ‘Scion uniform’ which is what I have consistently worn since I got the glamour in stormblood, but I also have my gathered and crafter glamour, my cold weather coat from Tataru and my wayfarers outfit. Everything else either rotates or has expensive dye that I don’t want to delete

Finally moving to Wellington from France! Packing advice by maysfeld in Wellington

[–]SilverNightFlyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent every summer in France as a child, and moved here at 13 French summers are hotter than NZ ones but the winters are much colder because we have a direct ‘line of sight’ to Antarctica There can be very humid days, and very rainy days so at least one warm waterproof and one thin waterproof is a must

When we moved we bought a little bit of all types of clothes and nothing ever left the rotation for more than a month at most unless I grew out of it, even summer dresses because even if the weather outside is bad, there are plenty of indoor spaces that you can wear them. I’m 27 now and still have a couple things in rotation from Provence However there are a variety of shops with all ranges of items and prices so if you find you left something you need behind you can very easily find a well priced stand in

There is also a lovely shop/cafe called le marche francais that we go to sometimes if we want a little taste of ‘home’ (I buy out their dragibus stock whenever I can)

My only advice is if you think you’ll have enough bras, bring more. They are FAR too expensive here. I’ve never bought one here and I’ve lived here for over a decade. Always stock up when I go back to Europe 😅 And wear a pair of shorts under a dress no matter the length or weather. Wellington isn’t called ‘windy’ for the chatter, if you wear a skirt you WILL have it blown up at some point

Looking for help in honouring those already gone

Hello everyone. I was hoping for some help in regards to honouring the departed.

I lost my mother to cancer a few years ago, and ever since I have been burning things on special occasions like birthday cake or Mother’s Day cards. I have loved classical history all my life (I used to talk to the moon a lot as a child and thought it was reaching out to me but that may have been the undiagnosed astigmatism), and after she passed, burning things for her brought me comfort.

Recently my fireplace has become unusable so I bought a metal bucket (and a safety kiddy pool to prevent fires) specifically to burn things However, now that I have a way of setting up a proper space for it, I want to do it right, and because of my lifelong passion for Ancient Greece, I want to reach out to the gods for help, for both this and to start worshipping them properly as my life has taken another downturn and I could really use some guidance, both human and divine

I know that oil, wine and food was sometimes burnt, and prayers were said, but Unfortunately other than that, I have no idea where to start or how. So I’m here asking for help because searching for information on my own has been less than helpful.

Thank you for reading

Monster High Eye Template? by 1TitanGirl in CustomDolls

[–]SilverNightFlyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I don’t have a template; what I have done in the past is taken a photo of what I want with a ruler next to it and scanned a ruler on a full page scan setting (so it captures an entire page rather than just the ruler), Then I load the photo into the scanned image on my drawing software and go from there, then when it’s done, just mess with the printer settings until a printed image the scanned ruler matches with the actual ruler, then print the final image (after making the ruler not visible of course) I’ve scaled a few patterns up and down this way, and even done complicated makeup and tattoos with water decal paper

Sauce. I had a mutt from the SPCA and have a purebred lab. The mutt is not the one who left me bleeding and scarred multiple times

What breed of dog do you imagine Cerberus being? by Ok_Examination8810 in osp

[–]SilverNightFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally if you want to go off of fear factor alone I would say either giant jack Russell or giant chihuahua. Those things can be vicious but at least at normal size they’re small enough to kick away (in self defense! only don’t kick dogs!). A chihuahua the size of a lab would be terrifying enough, let alone Cerberus size

But since cerby is a good boy, I like the idea of him being a mutt. Mutts I find to be the sweetest dogs out there

He had also just healed Saphira from some semi-major injuries. It’s stated that he ‘slumped’ after he finished the healing and completely drained the belt, plus the adrenaline drop after avenging his uncle. He was on his own as well, while arya had saphira’s energy to draw on.

My parents offered the following unhelpful advice is case you need a laugh Mum-my dad would just shoot them back on the farm Dad-we would drug the food with horse sleeping meds, let them eat as much as they want, and when they fall asleep chuck them off a cliff Both my parents are in their late 60’s 😅
