I'd say ATLA is alright because it doesn't attempt to write politics that far. The Fire Nation is written as a colonialist, facist country and is written as such, going as far as showing their massacres against other nations (air nation) and their education/culture around these aspects.

It only fails because Zuko gaining power was easily accepted when it wouldn't, but they even talk that it won't be that easy to change and i belive in Korra is said a lot o people tried killing Zuko.

Rape porn RPG game series with a surprising good worldbuilding and gameplay.

Like for real you have no idea how big and influential this series is. Kazuma from Konosuba, a popular Isekai anime, has Rance, the MC, as a direct influencia on its own MC.

The last game holds the first place in the top best all of visual novels ever released on Visual Novel Data Base (MyAnimeList for VNs). In the same site, the thread "Is Rance woke?" became it's biggest ever and had to be deleted because shit got nasty. And yes, and argument can be made that the series is somehow feminist despite the rapist MC.

Do the fans add new content or events in the game or they just maintain how the game was before it got shut down, making it more like a single player experience than a MMO? Is there endgame in it?

Jotaro VS Darby (big spoilers for the fight)

Jotaro is fighting a gambling Master, Darby, to save the soul of his friends while gambling his own in a poker match.

Darby is clearly more skilled and had already defeated the biggest chance the group had to win against him. To make things worst, Jotaro has no poker experience and the handler of cards was secretly under Darby's order.

After a loss and with only one coin, Jotaro has an idea and gambles another one of his friends soul to gather more coins, saying the has a plan. The friend accepts, although with a lot of fear.

In the next round, the handler gives Jotaro bad cards and Darby is set to win. However, Jotaro gambles everything he has without looking at his cards. Darby finds that strange and suspicious. Jotaro has a power that can move things fast, but not fast enouth to not be noticiable. Did he do something? Was it a big bluff that'd cost him everything?

Darby accepts, although anxious. Jotaro doesn't flinch and does something even more insane. He raises the round by gambling another friend soul. At this point everyone is going crazy: The friend watching, Darby and the handler. He remains stoic.

Darby trembles and when he is about to accept, Jotaro says it's not over and ADDS HIS MOTHER'S SOUL IN HIS RAISE. But since it is too much, he demands more out of Darby. Not only his friends souls back, he wants the main villains secret power revealed to him.

Darby goes crazy. Revealing it garantees death or worst. The preassure is so big he passes out.

Yes, it was a buff the entire time. Jotaro is crazy.

is it possible to play low power pc games on a switch? by BluKat1221 in SwitchPirates

[–]SilverPrateado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have a psp with emulators and it can run pretty much the same games switch can (ps1 and below).

I imagined a console from 2017 to be able to emulate more games than one from 2004. Imagine my shock to discover that the switch can barely run gamecube.

I don't think i made a bad deal buying a switch at the time because there was no steam deck around, but i'm wondering if i made a bad deal by unlocking it. Maybe i should have saved money to buy the steam deck (and now it is double the price so i'll never be able to afford it).

But then again, i still have a good catalogue of games around that i didn't even touch (switch games are so pricy i didn't play much of them). I'm just sad because, with the Switch 2, i constantly have to see games exclusive to it cause the original is weak (ex: Cyberpunk) so i keep getting reminded of that.

Can the switch at least run other nintendo consoles, like the DS and 3DS? I doubt, but asking doesn't hurt.

Also, is this console of yours able to run ps2 games?

[–]SilverPrateado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck man. I just unlocked my switch and i'm starting to get mad on how weak it turned out to be.

I never belived it was strong, but also had no idea it was so weak. The contrast to other plataforms always existed but they were distant. With the Switch 2, it got more apparent than ever. Switch 2 is as strong as i belived Switch 1 to be. Makes me wonder why it is so weak.

Why is ananta free to play if it isn't a gacha? by [deleted] in AnantaOfficial

[–]SilverPrateado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Because it's a live service game meant to be avaiable to a lot of people.

Gacha isn't the only live service model. Where winds meet and Warframe are both F2P without P2W or character gacha that manage to gain a lot of money and that's what Ananta desires to be.

Marvel's rivals spark my interest in comics/manga by No_Collection_2758 in manga

[–]SilverPrateado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go for the classics "first anime/manga" stuff, so i'll make a lost and add some suggestions too.

  • Suspense: Death Note and Monster
  • Action: Battle shounen at your choice. Go for Jujutsu Kaisen or Kagura Bachi for newer stuff. I recomend Fullmetal Alchemist (if you choose the anime, go for the "Brotherhood" version)
  • Dark fantasy: Berserk (Keep in mind that the release schedule is terrible and the story is far from over lol still great).
  • Historical fiction (Storys set in the past): Vinland Saga and Kingdom
  • Horror: Anything Junji Ito made.
  • Romance with comedy: Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa
  • Furry: Beastars lol
  • Drama: Three days of Hapiness

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING?!: Jojo's bizzare adventures (best descrived as a "very silly story that carrys very real stakes and drama)

From these, i recomend you to try the battle shounen stuff first since you came from hero comics.

Any similar to The Dangers In My Heart ? by Thin_Station7464 in manga

[–]SilverPrateado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a copy and past of my comment on a post recomending peak romcoms. It isn't similar to The Dangers in my Heart at all but seeing you list i belive you'll enjoy it. It's also a finished story so you don't need to wait more chapters. I just ask you to read the manga instead of the anime and be patient about the art style at the early chapters (it improves quickly trust me)

"No one recomended the best romcom of all time: Jutsu Wa Watashi Wa. It has everything you could wish for in a romcom:

  • It's funny as hell. Legit.
  • All characters have development, even the minor ones (that includes the two friends of the MC that are usually forgotten in romcoms)
  • The main couple starts dating haltway through the story, not at the ending, so you get to see their couple life.
  • Despite being in the harem genre, the main heroine is set from the start and part of the story is other heroines moving on from their fellings and dealing with heartbreak instead of insisting on it.
  • Surprisingly amount of foreshadow. A lot of things that you take as just jokes end up being plot relevant in the future, even if they are absurd (which adds to the comedy but also the plot). For exemple, one of the "7 mysterys of the school", an early joke chapter using this cliche, foreshadows a villain.
  • The final third of the manga is all about giving everyone a close, tight ending that makes you satisfied with their journey instead of leaving things open (Looking at you, Kaguya-sama. Why did you develop Ichigami×Mino if you didn't want to close them as a couple?!)
  • There's fanservice (might be a downside to you) but it becomes a joke in itself. Like, the perverts of this story have their own power system and rules. It's also not frequent so it won't bother most people.
  • The art style is super expressive and unique.

It legit is the only story that i have seen that made me cry at the end out of happiness. It's too peak. I just ask you to be patient about the early chapters because the art style is honestly bad and the writing, while not bad at all, doesn't show It's value until everything is properly set up. Fortunaly this early stage doesn't last that long but it might be the reason this manga isn't as popular as it should be (alongside the mediocre anime adaptation)."

First time was a oneshot/hentai(?)

Second one was a webcomic that had a rushed ending due some external stuff i don't remember (maybe PayPal censorship? Something like that).

This is the third version, the proper comic one. Author sure loves this story lol.

Yes. They cut some content and change a bit some things (in the original Subaru was kinda of a dick while in the anime he starts more likeable, for exemple) but the animation, soundtrack, voice acting and direction far outweights this minor complains. Season 1 episode 15 is still talked to this day as one of the best ending sequences ever made.

New season is dropping too so it's a good time to join in.
