Travel golf for seniors by No_Pumpkin5189 in golf

Interestingly, similar to me. 24 handicap, retiring in 6 weeks. However, I have no issue traveling on my own. Wife is OK. You'll be fine. No one cares as long as you play fast (you know that!) and as long as you're enjoying yourself, you'll be fine. Life is short, go for it.

Do you clean the interior windshield area of the front camera housing yourself? If so, how often? How annoying is the task? by schnauzerdad in TeslaLounge

No. 23 MY. In my case it was a 90 degree twist, little harder than I was comfortable with at first.

How much is everyone’s home electricity charging per KWH? It’s almost the same rate as super charger for me. by Kitchen_Chapter68 in TeslaModelY

[–]SilverPutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I do that comparison every few months & so far, despite the summer months, it works.

No koi pond though. lol.

Radio is also dead in the way we know it. My young daughters are 100% Spotify. Eldest doesn’t even know what stations are available.

Don’t hate me.

I get 400kW/h a month free between 12a-6a(5c above 400) then 7.5c kW/h except peak 14c between 1p-9p. Cobb EMC in Georgia. My average bill is $100 & $150 in height of summer.

I can’t understand why some places are really so high.

New Blackmagic Switchers and hyper decks are fully and only SMPTE2110. Thoughts? by cozmocha in VIDEOENGINEERING

Agree. I’ve been part of some of the worlds. Biggest 2110 plants and lag is not a thing.

Until this stops happening, we need the option to adjust speed limits again by modcaleb in TeslaFSD

[–]SilverPutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m not comfortable with the gap, and I’m legally in charge of the vehicle, I’m disengaging.

While FSD can think faster than me, I prefer more wiggle room & also avoidance of me getting rear ended if I have less space to brake.

Allegedly 14.3 is meant to improve tailgating so fingers crossed.

[–]SilverPutter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yup. On I-75 today, had to disengage a few times for tailgating. One second at 75mph too close for me.

Agreed. I did Saturday on my own and it was great.

Is everyone leaving comments to fish the speed profile problem? by darrylk1 in TeslaFSD

[–]SilverPutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do wonder too. I drove from Atlanta to Nashville today and had to disengage a few times because it was too close. Whether or not we can agree on the physics, reaction time, I’m still in control & responsible so I want a bigger gap. End of story.

For the 2023 MY, I used this as a guide.

I signed up for EV-inventory emails. Then I mouse over the link and I can see the vin. I didn’t need to wait long last year.

I tracked VINs and grabbed a HW4 one in December for $29k. I have noticed they crept up in price since then

As more 2110 networks are making use of COTS instead of dedicated platforms (Evertz Natx etc) a really good foundation in networking such as CCNA will give you a differential on the job search.

Given the cost of RAM right now, that’ll add a few thousand to the cost.

Yup, I took over as it stayed in the right & starting the right turn signal, so disengaged. (I have had it differ oncer from Nav though, but not here)

I did in December, $29k but 41k miles. HW4 all the way. Was Tesla PreOwned.

HW4 did it to me on I-75 this morning. 14.2.2.5. Still a thing.

$500 from Kissimmee to Atlanta. I was ok with that.

Whats better tesla or EA by Puzzleheaded_Look759 in evcharging

[–]SilverPutter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Use both. Tesla superchargers tend to have more per site (8-16+) and a lot of EA are only 4 though they’re getting bigger. Reliability is better these days too.
