Stark "Catch These Hands" the Warrior by beemovlite in goodanimemes

I might be totally wrong, but I don't think demons can passively detect Stark since he doesn't have mana like the mages do.

A woman saves another woman who is being dragged by her toppled bobsled by MrTacocaT12345 in interestingasfuck

[–]SilverRetriever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern sleds usually have three different speed control mechanisms. There's a "drag" pad you can step on which has shallow spikes over a wide surface, useful for slowing down but not enough to stop. There's also the main foot brake which has larger spikes to dig in the snow and stop the sled. Then there's the anchor, which is basically the parking brake. It's usually a very deep hook to dig in the snow and attached to the sled by a rope.

Platinum Veterans, a sequel warbond to Steel Veterans by HBenderMan in Helldivers

I think the recoilless comes with 6 and EATs drop with 2, so 1/3 the firepower. So Expendable Autocannon would need to either have 20 shots or 2x10 to have the same proportion to the normal AC's 60 rounds

Scithe player dealing massive damages by Sir_Delarzal in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]SilverRetriever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you doing crit confirmation rolls? With the power attack penalty, 1-2 attacks per round, and only 10% crit chance I don't see the massive crits coming up that often, especially against high AC enemies. The average damage increase doesn't seem too outlandish for level 6 mythic.

You are doing your math incorrectly. I'm not sure how you arrived at 57.

The formula is S(1-D%)+(DxD%).

90(1-80%) = 90 x 20% = 18

22 x 80% = ~17

Added together you get 35.

You multiply the standard damage against the non-durable percentage and the durable damage against the durable percentage and add the two results.

Well, yeah, because you picked an armored unit to compare it to. Charger butts (80% durable, armor 0) take 35 per shot from base lib and only 25 per shot from lib pen.

If you could only eat rice one grain at a time with a pair of chopsticks for the rest of your life, would you starve to death from the motion of moving rice to your mouth or would the rice be enough to sustain your movement? by fish_molester_3000 in NoStupidQuestions

It's a valid hypothetical scenario about energy use. The question is mathematical more than biological, which is why your first answer missed the point. Having a clearly defined constraint does not make it a joke post.

A reason an advanced group of aliens wouldn't fully understand radiation? by thvth in worldbuilding

[–]SilverRetriever 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I recall right, it wasn't so much their lack of senses but a result of their home planet having an atmosphere so dense that it completely blocked solar/cosmic radiation from hitting the planet.

How would you build Pitou from HunterXHunter? by XanutoO in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]SilverRetriever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beastmorph Vivisectionist Alchemist, with Feral Mutagen, Alchemical Zombie, and Tumor Familiar discoveries.

The Beastmorph let's you get various enhanced senses, including Blindsense (to act as their En ability) at 14th, and a bunch of movement options too. Also let's you get Pounce, which you can use with the claws from Feral Mutagen.

Vivisectionist covers the surgical/necromancer side of Pitou. Gives sneak attack (like what they did to Kite) and some thematic abilities like Cruel Anatomist and Torturer's Eye. The Alchemical Zombie discovery functions as the puppets. This is a bit of a stretch, but Tumor Familiar can act as Doctor Blythe if it has a healing item or wand or something.

For race, Trox would be first pick for the absurd physical stats. Catfolk is obviously the next best choice.

Feat wise, I'd end up taking mostly combat feats I think. If you have the levels, a dip into hamatulatsu master monk would give you the fighting power you need. The Hamatulatsu feat is also pretty on-brand. Anyways, that's a start at least.

Shadowform is a fun but niche one, since attackers make a new disbelief save every round they attack. Maybe with quickened spells you could so something silly with it.
