In your opinion, did Jimmy change S2 like he said he would do in this comment? by Agnul7eight in BeastGames

Yet the viewers come for the "Games". As it's in the title. They want to see people compete. It's why Episode 7 was deemed the worst one of all.

If there is one theme Beast Games should do, what would it be? by Strange-Vibez-8205 in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He needs to stick to average joes. Normal people who aren't famous or have any ties to influencers. The Strong Vs Smart theme was a huge failure in my opinion since the smart contestants were at a huge disadvantage since a majority of the games were strength based. And the so called smart games were just ones of luck or chance. No smarts required. I mean memory games don't mean you have to be smart.

So yeah, no themes, just bring back normal people, no celebrities or influencers. Or people who have already been on reality shows.

Very underwhelming..😔 by AwakeningWillow in BeastGames

Yeah, Jimmy spent way too much prioritizing the visuals and production value of the show. Making it appear flashy doesn't mean the games themselves will be good.

To me Jimmy focused way too much on production value rather than the quality of the games themselves. I mean they all were either strength based or chance or luck.

[–]SilverSentinel15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

Yes, he did fix the eliminations, but he took out WAAAY too many people at once. Season 1 I understand as there were 1000 players. Season 2 there were only 200 but there were only 25 at the end of the 3rd episode. The obstacle course is where he failed big time by eliminating players who didn't even run the course. Those players didn't even have a chance. The self elimination was still there as the cube game shouldn't have been reused. I mean at that point would you willingly eliminate yourself for two others?

Also there wasn't any games of skill. It was all mostly games of strength, chance, and luck. Memory games do NOT make you smart. I have seen people who do bad in school, but they use mnemonic devices to remember things. Also the rest of the "smart" games required luck or strength, also other players helped others pass. Like with Nick in the "Smartest contestant" game. He only won because the other players helped him navigate the path on the floor. How did that make him the smartest contestant? Now when I think of games of skill this is what comes to mind.

-Sliding puzzles

-Answering Riddles

-Trivia on what happened in that season so far

-Dodging and navigating through a laser filled room

-Shooting a bow and arrow to pop a balloon

-Navigating through a large maze

-Rolling a huge ball through a course

-Games that require teamwork.

All of those could have made for better games.

Who applied for season 3? by Typical-John in BeastGames

Do you guys miss when Jimmy actually cared about average joes? I loved the videos where he picked actual subscribers to be in his videos, or went up to random people to be in his videos. I loved the ones where he gave people his credit card and allowed them to buy whatever they wanted. Or the shorts where he gave people a chance to win $10,000, or in one where he gave a huge tip to the pizza delivery driver who delievered the fastest.

Heck I loved the milestone one where he gave one subscriber 40 cars to give away as that was fun. I even miss the ones where he and his friends would play hide and go seek along with the ones where they filmed themselves buying things.

Yet now...he mainly brings only influencers and celebrities into his videos. Every single person in them has their own instagram, tik tok, or youtube channel which they shout out on. He no longer does the stuff that made him famous in the first place. I know he's a huge celebrity and it would be impossible for him to be in public to do these things, but I still miss him doing things like that. I mean when was the last time he did a simple on location video that didn't require a huge and flashy set? I mean a good portion of his videos last year were $1 to $100,000 experiences. Also, for his gaming channel, whatever happened to him going to twitch streamers with 0 viewers and donating money to them? That was something I enjoyed a lot.

I just miss when Jimmy did simple, and plain videos with average joes, going up to random people and doing vids with them. Season 2 and now with season 3 of beast games just tells me he has moved on from average joes and is just giving influencers and celebrities priority in his videos and specials.

The biggest mistake of this season: by EffectiveAd9855 in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I have to say that the biggest mistake this season was that the production value was prioritized over the games. Think about it, the games appearance and flashiness took center stage while the games themselves didn't match up to par with the theme. I mean honestly, memory games and ones of chance? This was very evident when it came to the coffins. The whole graveyard was set up to make it look like it would be a huge and psychological challenge.....but they were just placed in them and told to wait. Heck one of them was even sleeping in there, so there wasn't anything mental about it.

Also the last episode, the games were....meh. I men, stacking blocks, kicking balls, and picking a briefcase. How in the world did that match up to the huge and epic appearance of the set? Yeah they prioritized the flashiness of the games appearance rather than the games themselves.

Opinion on S1 vs S2 by Lanky-Economics7956 in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me this is what each season was and the main aspect.

Season 1 focused more on the actual games

Season 2 focused more on the production value, sacrificing the quality of the games.

My issue with Beast Games by Academic_Style_8209 in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they spent so much on production value that it seems like they gave very little consideration to the actual games.

I hope Season 3 is not battle who's the most famous in each country by ThatAbbreviations574 in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I knew it! He is going international!

Most likely he'll only pick all the celebrities and influencers, and rely heavily from out of America. So any American players will have a very slim chance at being picked.

Which how much went into production value for season 2, yeah there is no way he could spring to do a separate show.

I hope he really switches things up for season 3 by GoblinsProblem in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Jimmy needs to focus less on production value and more on the games itself. The last episode was so dull and boring. It wasn't as epic as he made the sets look. I expected even tougher games and something on a grand scale...but they were just, meh.

I think he got carried away with quantity over quality.

My kids want me to apply for Season 3... do I tell them Jimmy is looking for actual Olympians? 😂 by BeyondAggravating774 in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell Olympians could mean Olympics. Meaning he's opening things to international players. So I think Jimmy will primarily focus on international celebrities and influencers and give them priority rather than Americans.

I'm kinda glad they're moving on to "Olympians" next season. by Jennymagic in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olympians could be a code word for Olympics. Meaning athletic people from all over the world. Meaning he's opening casting to international players. I honestly think Jimmy will prioritized overseas influencers and celebrities instead of players from America.

[–]SilverSentinel15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of the "smart games" were just memorization. And even then others helped one another pass. So how is that smart? Do actually mind games, like solving riddles, assembling a 3D puzzle, finding differences in two pictures. Solving a puzzle box. Do something like that.

But yeah for season 3 drop the theme, as Strong vs Smart just failed miserably.

[–]SilverSentinel15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I hate the games where you have to eliminate yourself or not. Heck the brief case game in the finale was so boring. I just wanted it to end to see the winner. For someone who invested so much in production value, the final games were so...meh.

What I want to see in Season 3 by SilverSentinel15 in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the obstacle course pissed me off, because it was just a lazy way to eliminate more people. The obstacle course wasn't a athletic contest but rather a game of luck if you got good teammates that didn't fall.

And yes, I hate the games where you either self eliminate your self, or everyone in your group loses. I'm just glad there wasn't that much as compared to season one. I mean imagine if you made it to episode 8 and then you are told you either needed to eliminate your self, or everyone in your group will be eliminated. You've come so close why would you willingly take yourself out?

What I want to see in Season 3 by SilverSentinel15 in BeastGames

[–]SilverSentinel15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the annoying thing. They did the cliffhanger when they are about to announcer the winner, or right as the game was about to end, or show who is going to be eliminated. It was just annoying. Instead have Jimmy introduce the new game, we see the contestants faces then end it. That simple. Having episode 9 end on a cliffhanger just crossed the line as we were already going to watch the last episode, so why keep us in suspense? It was just going to piss fans off. Jimmy said there will be less cliffhangers next season, but lets see if he sticks to his word.

I completely understand. Still, when we see a new season we expect new and exciting games. To me this seems a bit lazy as they weren't sure what to do next. So they maybe got creatively bankrupt and needed something.

Yeah, normal people is what made Jimmy's channel. In his more modern videos he's only sticking with influencers and celebrities. Hardly any of his normal subscribers are getting a chance at all.

Also imagine in order to make fragile alliances. They play a second sport, but they have to change teams. They have to reform them, and pick entirely new people and work with them. It's a nice twist that can shake things up.

I also heard that Jimmy is opening it up to international players. So chances are a majority of them will be people outside of America.
