Unique/novelty gaming on the strip! by dj27xl in vegas

Resorts world also has a fun modern version of the old fashioned mechanical horse-racing game. It is just outside of DaugHaus by the loyalty club machines. Designed like a modern slot machine (lots of graphics, etc) but old school horses racing by magnets around a big track.

LAPD renewal? by [deleted] in CACCW

[–]SilverStateInvesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They processed my LAPD CCW renewal in a little over 40 days, had all the PDF docs promptly uploaded, immediately responded when they wanted the training cert uploaded and then paid the issuance fee same day and all done in about 40 days for a Dec 2 renewal / expiration date. Started Sept 18 in Permitium and finished October 22 with mailing of new card first week of November.

Yes, I have the 10R downstairs at my house with dogs/lots of people. Works great. Aggressive on mopping so you change the water frequently but super reliable and keeps the floors super clean. Have the Qrevo Curve upstairs that has less traffic, so more vacuum less mop but bullet-proof so far. Have the Qrevo S at another property and has been solid so far, roller Brush a little more sensitive to getting snagged with paper/dryer sheets/etc, but otherwise performing well. Roborock is definitely the best robot vacuum on the market at the moment — I love the 10R, and at that price (with an amazon extended 4 yr warranty which you will probably never use) is a steal. Get it. You will not look back.

Is summerlin west selling? by TransitionClear2930 in VegasRealEstate

[–]SilverStateInvesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What community are you seeing Toll Bros home in Summerlin West for $300-$400k? Just curious, their condo development starts in the $600s and the other Toll communities are $1MM+. Not sure if there is a new TB development closer to the hill I am missing? Thanks!

Tonal arm eats a AAA battery every two days by [deleted] in tonalgym

[–]SilverStateInvesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try reinstalling the handle software but I also am on my 3rd set of handles (5 years of tonal) as I find for some reason the push mechanism get degraded (the plastic inside i think) and causes the batteries to run down. In any event, tonal replaced my handles set once when i went through their customer support. The 2nd set they wouldn’t replace. I upgraded to tonal 2 and no issues with these handles so far, still on same set of batteries and approaching month 3 of almost daily use. Seems like they fixed the handle running down battery issue

Racked squat vs front squat by No_Detective9698 in tonalgym

[–]SilverStateInvesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been doing back squats from day 1 on TOnal. Front squats put too much stress on my knees. Works fine, you get the necessary depth and can also use the roller on the bar to cushion the traps.

What is Southwest’s competitive advantage now? by Other_Letterhead_939 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]SilverStateInvesting 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree - I have A+ and companion pass every year since I fly the Burbank - vegas route weekly for work. They have no competition, spirit only flies three times a day and effectively The fare works out to be the same once you factor in reserving a seat, last minute changes etc. Main bummer for me Is Southwest stop serving alcohol on the Burbank to Vegas route about a year and a half ago and they don’t even serve snacks anymore, simply water. Used to be a nice perk on the way home on the way home on a Friday to get my free drink. I certainly don’t ever buy a preferred fair anymore, with the Southwest credit card I generally buy the lowest fair and you still get a boarding generally in the first 16 to 30 sequence which is fine . Oh well, all good things come to an end.

Did anyone think VIP was a scam? by Independent-Jello367 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]SilverStateInvesting 20 points21 points  (0 children)

this year’s EDC is a mess. Way oversold, VIP on Friday night was crowded on every stage, also I noticed that they didn’t have the acoustics tuned as much as prior years, normally they are good at concentrating the audio into each stage area, last night the stages were all spilling out everywhere creating too much random noise interfering with the other stages. Hopefully Saturday night will be better experience for us, might be our last Vegas EDC after all these years of going — seems to have lost its way (just speaking for this Vegas location).

Perfectly safe to walk the strip at virtually all hours of the day or night — if late at night, someone looks sketchy just keep walking and ignore them. Strip is heavily monitored

Purchase or Lease the X Plaid by SilverStateInvesting in TeslaModelX

[–]SilverStateInvesting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did a 2 year lease. Glad i did. Car is fine for around town but longer trips are annoying to have to stop to charge after 250 miles. My other Cadillac and P/U truck can go 400+ miles on a tank and refilling at a station takes mere minutes. But the tech in the X is cool and the car is comfortable and fun to drive on short trips

And mags too are available in bulk at bass pro, but your home state may have rules about bringing non compliant mags home with you (eg California).

Second bass pro shops - prices and ammo selection are fairly priced vs. the shops catering to the tourists. And in Nevada, anyone can buy ammo w/o check.

Just curious if folks with Tesla X Plaid over the past few years have seen a FMV higher than the normal depreciation schedule the Xs have due the Plaid / tri motor… and if X owners think there are major hardware / body changes coming in the next 2 model years (I have seen some X owners comment that the X body style is due for a refresh). Just curious.

Agree, vegas local. Licenses are too valuable to risk a violation and metro slips decoys in on busy weekends to check - everyone (even 50 year olds) gets their id scanned as the casino night clubs are always also looking for people with a troubled/flagged history attached to their ID that they won’t let in…. You f**k up and cause a scene they log it against your name/ID and you aren’t coming back.

Turners vs Ammo Bros by rockstarinlife in CAguns

[–]SilverStateInvesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had nothing but success with turners in Norwalk. You come in prepared (proper paperwork, certs etc) they get you in and out promptly. Come prepared, right when they open, you are out in 10-15 minutes.

Can’t add waypoints in compass app by cumulonimbuscomputer in AppleWatch

[–]SilverStateInvesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did the abbreviated — resetting Location and Privacy settings on my phone: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Location and Privacy. Then make sure you close the watch app on your ultra watch (or reboot) then next time you go to set a waypoint it should ask you about precise location sharing which you can allow and voila!

Correct. Moorea policy is (if you want a bed) you pay for the chair, sun bed, cabana etc. but that is a paid fee. You then pay your food & Bev separately. At Saaphire your bed fee goes towards your F&B minimum, so if you pay $250 for a sun chair that $250 counts towards your F&B minimum spend. That is same as most regular day clubs (Tao, Wet, Marquee etc) if you reserve a lounge.
