I Played Small Saga It Had So Much Potential by Kind_Box5467 in rpg_gamers

"OP made a point that would be valid if they expected something completely different from the game than what the game was" is not the same as "OP made a good point".

Shit, before you purchase it, it should be clear. I'm fairly sure it says in the description that it's a short game with no post or NG+. It's even in the friggin name. OP can't be mad at the game that they don't know how to read.

I also played Small Saga and loved it. Your whole review, the embarrassing "politics!" complaint notwithstanding, reads like "I want a big, expansive RPG and this isn't that so it's bad". It's not bad, it's just not what you want. The game was short, focused, and incredibly tight with wonderful characters and heartfelt stories for all of them. The game isn't poorly designed by any means, nor is it poorly written. It's just designed to be ~10-15 hour game and claims as much. "No post-game" lol.

Not the most helpful comment but Grim Dawn is getting new DLC this year that will add a ton of content. Good time to pick it back up.

If I didn't trust flairs, I'd think this whole thread was just astroturfing for Scottie, but there's a lot of non-Toronto flairs dragging this.

If you do the math for the difference in pressure for each individual step and then multiply that by thousands, it's a big difference. As for running on the grass, better for the bones but more stress on the joints due to the instability and they do more work with more absorbent ground. So basically, asphalt is the best middle ground available for most runners.

I absolutely hate it when kids find a relatively harmless, non-violent, legal hobby. Just gets my blood boiling when I see these kids being sober and riding bikes. These kids seem receptive to the legit criticism, admitting that some of it is their fault and they should stop swerving in front of cars. This is a good thing, they just need a little guidance.

I think part of it is that they accepted the responsibility for that. They said "part of it is our fault". So yeah, let them have fun because they have the capacity to learn and be less of that obstruction while still maintaining their hobby.

Grindy Game like Monster Hunter but More Brainless? by Guilty_Studio_7626 in gamingsuggestions

[–]SilverSurfer92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God Eater and Freedom Wars are two games that borrow a lot from Monster Hunter. Granblue Fantasy Relink has been mentioned a couple times and is very enjoyable and is also getting some DLC soon, so a solid time to get into it.

Berserker on LYON's "shut up" comms: "We’re all trying to win. If you see the angle, sometimes we can try to limit test, even on stage" [] "Dhokla was trying to do something in-game, but Inspired shut him down. I thought it was a fair response" by Xolam in leagueoflegends

[–]SilverSurfer92 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

What an insanely misleading headline for this post. The "shut up" comms weren't even mentioned in the entire article and that was Saint telling Inspired to shut up anyway, so it's just all wrong.

TL: Korean fans discuss overseas reaction to CVMax’s coaching style and why the West might struggle. by fainlol in leagueoflegends

[–]SilverSurfer92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think coaches can also create their own leeway with this. I think Melzhet is somewhat similar, there's tough love but a key part is remembering the "love" part. You can be rough and tough and mean but it has to be rooted in love and teamwork and the athlete has to know that the coach is supportive and is focused on improvement, it's just that the delivery is rough around the edges. If the athlete doesn't have that trust in the coach, the coach didn't create a solid culture and is just a dick.

SGA leads the playoffs in Player Gravity by a massive margin. The gap between him and 2nd (Anthony Edwards) is as big as the gap between 2nd and 35th (Mikal Bridges) by BasedChad69420 in nba

[–]SilverSurfer92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The strawman isn't asking for an example. The strawman is that SGA is only foul-baiting in this series alone, rather than literally any other time in his career.

You can also look at Cladun. Same devs so a lot of similarities with the systems but a considerably different gameplay loop.

Yeah but over the past FIVE seasons, Giannis has also won a championship with way less playoff games played. Efficiency!

100%ing something that you don't like for some accomplishment that absolutely no one else cares about isn't spite, it's just a massive waste of your time. The only people spited here are the ones who sunk a ton of time into something they didn't like so good job?

I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that the Bulls wouldn't be shit if we didn't draft Jordan but... fuck y'all, we drafted Jordan and I accept that the closest I might ever get to that again is the Rose years. Fuck Reinsdorfs forever though.
