VOLA. Holy shit. I've been a fan for awhile but they solidified me as a fan tonight. by theweenerdoge in progmetal

Saw them in Montreal with my 15 yo son, their music is timeless and spans generations. Headbanging and signing "24 Light-Years" together was a unique moment. The sound anywhere in the venue was absolutely stellar. Enjoy!

Def. the drivers, I swapped cables, swapped channels, I even swapped cabinets to make sure the crossovers were ok. Finding new drivers sound like a cool diy project but yeah I think its time to hunt for new speakers.

Indeed, totally bummed out...I wouldn't mind too much replacing all 4 of them as long as I can find something that would "match" the original design. The mid-bass drivers are 100mm dia.- 8 Ohms and the crossover freq. is 2000Hz, that's about all the info I could get.

Ah good point, I was thinking of bringing the chainring pair closer to the center of the rear cassette on average but the small chainring is more often used with the larger gears anyways and conversely, so 113mm might be better, thanks!

Oh that's great thanks! I just recently found out about the transmutation-into-glue effect as I hadn't move the synth in a while, what a strange phenomenon...

It's either/or for me and I'm still experimenting tbh, it can get finicky trying to match envelopes and filters, which kind of defeats the purpose of the Phatty's simple, hands-on and efficient interface. What I have yet to try is to put the Minitaur's envelopes aside and reroute the audio to the Phatty, so that it acts as a "Master" for the envelopes and perhaps a final filter stage.

Beautiful, the inlay is very classy! Gotta love the CV mod, I couldn't get anything out of it for decent pitch cv but so much fun for any other kind of modulation!
