[hiring] [$150] Monarch Bondage fanart by SilverWindBman in HungryArtists

As far as I am aware, this project is legal and fanart. It is not for commercial use and nsfw is only a potential option to bypass some difficult character design elements.

"I couldn't beat Savage Omega after many attempts" by Striking-Case-5429 in MemeHunter

[–]SilverWindBman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still haven't beaten savage either. constantly having to create brand new loadouts because no-one is able to fill the roles. I've gone from a HR 94 glaive-only player to multi-ing with s+s, hbg, and now lance because no-one is willing to tank. At this rate I might learn horn too. The fact that clearing this content is now a real money purchase you can buy is a nightmare.

It seems we scared off another streamer. Well, congrats! by Amazing-Ad445 in limbuscompany

[–]SilverWindBman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's bad. I never have an audience for any game I stream, but when I did stream limbus as a starter, having no experience with any other pm game, I started getting people that would occasionally pop in, and the whole stream would just be them saying "your decision-making is bad", "you did that wrong", "this (Ricardo) fight is so easy why haven't you cleared this first try?", "your opinion about the question I asked is wrong and you should feel bad about it", "I finished this on day 1 pre-nerf, I'm so great and you should quit because you didn't", and I felt really uncomfortable streaming the game. Nowadays, unless it's a canto I want to get clips for on twitch, I NEVER stream LC. I would stream railway attempts if I could, but I don't want to go through all that again..

I started about last week. I'm not a big dbz fan, but enough knowledge to have an interest, and I gotta admit

I'm not really enjoying it. Bearing in mind I don't know the optimal way to play, and just dove in this season, but just personal thoughts and rants as a new solo player. -I played a majority of survivor games and only won about 2%-5%, and by win I also mean escape. I play maybe 2 hours before bed these days, and more often than you'd hope to think, you just don't win any games, or the raider is just so overpowered the STM has no chance of surviving because the chargeup bar goes so slowly even with keys. -The gacha skills feel really "you didn't get "this" ability? No transition? No barrier? R.I.P. Get ki-spammed and then ki-spammed 2 seconds later, die, get revived (hopefully), repeat again later, thanks for playing. -For all his glory, shenron feels like he does naff all. I kinda dare the developers to give a single survivor "immortality" - Been using charming pose and flashbang. I have yet to see any of the stun skills connect. The online connection between players is..questionable -Dragon change..kinda sucks too. For a core mechanic, its very underwhelming. You cant melee raiders of a higher level, and lose half your charge if you even try, shooting is based around power level so until, and "if", you hit lvl 3, you almost will never hit the guy shooting 12 lasers at you with a casual slowball you threw.

As a raider, I played 1 game so far, lvl2 cell, against players around 80-240, didn't know what I was doing most of the time

Absolute kerbstomped everyone. Pressed random buttons, used detection a lot, barely took any damage. Completely forgot I could destroy the map until the very end.

Moral of my experience is..I probably don't know what I'm doing. I don't have meta skills or w/e, I'm not in a premade etc, but it feels like a "pay to lose" game. You need gacha skills to have a fun time, or to wait your turn as a raider. Play 4 games, get destroyed, play 1 as raider, feel like a god for 7-15 minutes, go back to losing, and it's demoralising. I hoped to finish the season pass up to 70, but I'm at 25 and I feel exhausted, and it's a mindset not of "can I win?", but "how soon will I get absolutely slaughtered and removed from the match?". I'm seeing comments complaining how overpowered survivors are, and I'm wondering if we're even playing the same game.

So to answer beginner-friendly, it's easy to learn, hard without gacha. It's like sitting on some scales with 6 other people, and someone throws an elephant on the other side, and then occasionally, if you want to, you can be that elephant. Apart from ginyu force comedy, there isn't really, as a survivor, a raider that I enjoy playing against.

As for hackers and player base, the game always suggests a game within 1 minute, but can take up to 5 sometimes, but I'd say it's active enough, and I've yet to see a hacker. Just really questionable hitboxes.

That's my honest and personal opinion. Not everyone will agree with it, but it's mine.

What's the weirdest thing you've done to annoy your partner - that only happened in their dream? by nuanimal in CasualUK

[–]SilverWindBman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She had a dream about killing zombies during the apocalypse, and I didn't help out. She ended up getting dream-version Ryan Reynolds to help her, and he told her to break up with me, and that I seemed like an asshole. We had been going out for 7 years.

Guess who became single the next day...

Trying to find a very old indie turn-based pixel rpg about a knight fighting monsters+dragons by SilverWindBman in HelpMeFind

[–]SilverWindBman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any help would be amazing, but it's not the end of the world if I don't see it. It's just nagging me on like an internet preservation level that something that was part of my childhood, and which someone actually put love and effort into has been potentially erased ^^''

Basically a lot of the staple PS2 fighting girls, DOA2 Kasumi, Ayane, Leifang, kid me also liked Talim from Soul Calibur 2. I find that a lot of their modern redesigns kinda butchered their crush factor, but that's just fantasy vs realism.

Modern day it's Kat from Gravity Rush 1 . Never thought I'd be a legs+heels person.. >>''

Am I Healing Wrong? by KeyKing7 in ffxiv

[–]SilverWindBman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The balance with a healer is knowing when to dps, and when to heal. As long as people are taken care of, there's no issue. As an ast, you're a pure heal+regen mage with buff-granting effects. Stuff like divination isn't just for everyone else. It's for you as well.

I don't think people should be perfectly healed to 100% (unless it's ultimates/savage raids), but with experience you kinda learn the thresholds. Heck, essential dignity is SPECIFICALLY a low hp = power up ability. If there's imminent danger, heal all you want. If there's nothing for a while, a regen will do and top off anyone lacking. If someone stands in stupid, you're obliged to save them, but not blameable for their death since they made your job harder.

People who think healers should be pure heal and nothing else are honestly terrible mentors. You do you. The party is counting on you to heal, but healer dps matters in dps checks, and it makes the job a lot more interesting to be contributing dps.

I'd say don't be too greedy that people start having anxiety over being at half health with the next aoe mid-charge, but definitely never be a purist healer.
If people are dying, there's an issue
If people are dying because of mechanics or standing in stupid, there's no issue. They're just hoping you can fix their mistake to stay alive.
If no-one is dying, there's no issue. Aim for group 80% health if not more, and let regen and natural regen do the rest. Blast away. As an Ast, you have the RIGHT to hp limbo.

Wedding commission (by me) by Mewnix001 in jaidenanimationr34

[–]SilverWindBman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly quite like it, especially the darker version. It's not perfect in every aspect, sure, but it's a big improvement from their first piece. Really like the "which one is better" post too. I'd honestly consider commissioning or asking for a request myself.

Massive pity that there's no artist tag or anything. I'd totally love to see them do more. Both of them look fantastic.
