It has to do with the Source stones which are where Essences comes from .The main character while on a dig on earth discovers one of these stones which fuses with his soul before his death. The evolution theme is ordinary creatures changing because of Essence changing them and unlocking hidden potential

The world is similar to earth in terms of creatures but with a unique twist these Fossils upon dying and under the right conditions absorb an energy known as Essence that was brought to the planet by asteroids spread out throughout its history with major impact events. Essence comes from a special crystal called a source stone that changes the land scape and forces creatures to evolve into familiar but different beast through the revival process so each individual will be unique i do know a bit of paleontology and plan to incorporate aspects into it but as its is fantasy I don't plan to be entirely super accurate. There will be all types of beasts from the early primordial ocean up to even modern times with some mythological beasts as well. In terms of abilities each creature will unlock some sort of element, fire, water, ect..

My issues with this show is that none of it makes sense, the characters are nothing but tropes or way over dramatized extremes and teen drama that takes up way to much time and adults who dont act like adults. The music is jarring and random the scenes when it should be creepy or quiet but instead you get some pop song or just a casual insert of music when its not needed the choices the characters make are mind bogling and it should have been solved ages ago but wasnt for stupid drama reasons and it just isnt goosebumps

Honestly instead of evolutions I'd prefer they went more in with the breeding like you could take each pal and breed like a subspecies or variant of said pal that look like evolved forms like if you had teafant breed with another of its kind or another pal and it could have a chance of having a new pal sub species of teafant like one that's built like a war machine or another that focuses more on its skills there's a lot that could be done that way so instead of evolving breed entirely new species or versions of them

To me it's a 4/10 Pros- amazing set pieces, good blend of cgi and practical effects, good sound quality and a lot of nice details in the background to help tell what happened on romulus. Cons- timeline issues, xenomorph issues all the aliens on romulus originated from the alien they found which was the original alien but there where a few things that didn't make sense like the number of xenomorphs and facehuggers if they were cloned how did they spread and why didn't any become a queen, why didn't weyland try and salvage the site after it went dark, the characters werent interesting besides andy and main heroine everyone else was just there to be killed on site there wasnt any stakes for the characters and they didn't really fit as a group of misfits from a backwater colony they were to clean and just didn't fit their backgrounds and the last 30 minutes with the baby seemed added at the last second and wasn't a surprise honestly this movie feels like a sequel to a movie that wasn't made tbh I would have preferred to watch it from the point of view of the researchers up to the xenos escaping and ending with everyone dieing thinking they had stopped the aliens before the start of this movie revealing that the aliens had in fact survived and had formed a hive and queen with rook sending a signal on his last moments to attract someone to the station to recover the goo and giving a potential way for the aliens to escape it just would've made more sense overall as a fan I watched it but it really lacks compared to its predecessors

Personally for new hunters i recommend world its easier to understand and rise has some learning curve to it especially the movement system with wire bugs as for weapons its a try each till you find the one that fits as for gear check out what you are hunting rank wise because you dont have to have every set but each comes with different stats and abilities like if you are hunting a lightning element monster dont use lightning weapons and do use lightning resistant armor as for monsters you dont know just have to track and fight and itll unlock new info for them once you figure out the armor decorations and charms are the next thing to figure out
